Poland celebrates victory over Russia. Is it too early?

8
Poland is trying hard to find an alternative to "undemocratic" Russian gas. Washington offered such an alternative in the form of a 20-year contract for the supply of American liquefied natural gas. In Warsaw, happy: blue fuel will cost 30% cheaper. Victory relations sound: they say, this is a liberation from "Russian gas slavery." And if other European states follow the same path, there will be a complete victory over Russia. However, in practice it is too early to talk about “victory”.

So, the contract signed between Poland and the United States will begin to operate only in 2022. Just when the contract with Gazprom ends. At the same time, Russia covers two-thirds of Poland's fuel needs. Until now, all Warsaw’s attempts to switch to liquefied natural gas from the United States have been unsuccessful: the American was more expensive. Now in Poland they hope that it will be cheaper by a third.

However, it is impossible to predict how much gas will cost, whether Russian or American, four years later. Its price is tied to the cost of oil. It is a matter of simply comparing the current price of Russian gas with what Washington is offering.

Even if gas from the United States is cheaper, there is another caveat - delivery problems. Under the terms of the contract, all costs from the time of shipment to the American port are borne by the buyer.

In addition, so far there is no enterprise from which it is planned to ship — there is only an intention to build it.

And the contract with the USA will not cover all the needs of Poland in gas. So, only 2,7 billion cubic meters a year will arrive from Poland overseas, while Russia supplies 10 billion cubic meters.

However, it is possible that Poland will buy American gas not for itself, but for resale to third countries. For example, to South America, Asia, or - at exorbitant prices - to Ukraine, when that country has no alternatives left.

Yes, you just have to forget for four years this oligophrenic delight! Well, let them rejoice!

It is time to punish the Poles by reducing gas supplies. Oh time! And the fact that they are happy, well, let them be happy if they want to. They can still start jumping from their stupidity and obstinacy.

First you need to see who "they" are, ie. rejoicing? A bunch of politicians, a couple of political scientists, and some of the "not very distant" people who have no idea about the subject. Those familiar with the US LNG supply agreement and the calculator will press a couple of buttons on the device and see that there is nothing to be happy about. It is another matter that "rejoicing politicians" will not allow realists to voice their conclusions in public space. Today it has become a tradition of the Western version of "freedom of speech". There will be no special "plus" from the reduction in gas supplies. After all, the commercial benefits of our supplies work for our economy. And slaves (Poles and some Europeans) cannot but rejoice when their master (USA) has it. Otherwise, the slave can become unbearably painful. laughing

        - that is precisely why they have found an alternative and now they will not give a damn about such threats. And note the same thing was done by Germany, the Baltic states, Belgium and France. The only good for the people of Russia in this situation can finally gasify their villages.

Don't the Poles really understand how they were "tipped"? ...
Well, yes, I forgot that they are ready to pay the United States for the presence of their military units on their territory ...

I think that the opinion of the Poles themselves is not interesting to anyone. The political elite of Poland, and the EU as a whole, has long ceased to be guided by the interests of the population of their countries. They have a puppeteer who instills their interest in them, paying extra into the personal pockets of persons through whom he realizes this interest. And while "people hawala", their (people) opinion is ignored.

And what is their alternative - to bow to the Kremlin and listen to "punish the Poles by reducing gas supplies" such threats.
