The press service of the Concorde company, businessman and founder of the Russian PMC Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin, announced on his Telegram channel that YouTube will be closed in Russia in the near future. According to the entrepreneur, users of the service will be punished.

YouTube will be closed soon. And those who actively use YouTube, in turn, will be identified and will suffer the deserved punishment after it is banned.

So Prigozhin commented on his appeal to the Prosecutor General's Office with a request to check the activities of YouTube and block it in Russia. According to him, almost 40% of the content on the service is politicized and directed against the Russian Federation. Nobody has tried to close YouTube yet, since this is prevented by a huge number of people in the presidential administration, the entrepreneur said.

Prigozhin considers people who oppose the closure of the site as traitors to their people and their country, since they live, relax and raise children abroad. He added that "ordinary Russian people" cannot decide to block YouTube because they don't watch it.

Prigozhin called YouTube an information plague, specifying that VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, and Rutube resources could be an alternative to the service.

According to him, a significant part of the village is still under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but the Russian side has some success.
