Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin proposed amending the Criminal Code to provide for the confiscation of property from Russians who left the country after the start of the SVO.
He emphasizes that many citizens of the Russian Federation who fled from mobilization abroad consider themselves inaccessible to Russian justice. These people regularly offend both the country and its inhabitants, trying to curry favor with the West and maintain their well-being. According to Volodin, it is necessary to deprive such citizens of the opportunity to receive income from the Russian Federation.
The scoundrels who have left live comfortably thanks to our country. While abroad, they rent out real estate, continue to receive royalties at the expense of Russian citizens. At the same time, they allow themselves to publicly pour dirt on Russia, insult our soldiers and officers. They feel impunity, believing that justice cannot reach them
- says the telegram channel of the Chairman of the State Duma.
Viacheslav Volodin proposes to supplement the articles of the Criminal Code with an additional clause that would provide for the confiscation of property from Russian citizens who left the country after the start of a special military operation as a punishment. Public insults in social networks against the Russian Federation should be regarded as calls for extremism, treason or discrediting the armed forces.
