Did the Kerch shooter simulate shooting in a computer game?
The deeper the experts study the evidence in the case of 18-year-old Vladislav Roslyakov, who staged a mass murder at the Kerch Technological College on October 17, 2018, the more they are inclined to think that a fourth-year student could suffer from schizophrenia. This is evidenced by the traces that Roslyakov left behind, although tried hard destroy personal belongings on the eve of the attack.
According to forensic psychiatrist Mikhail Vinogradov, the young man completely "went to the computer." He had no friends - "maximum buddies." Leading a secluded lifestyle, and taking into account the psychological difficulties, he became interested in various "aggressive communities" on the Internet.
The investigation established that Roslyakov regularly visited such resources. There are fans of serial killings, neo-Nazis and other not quite adequate audience. And the most frequently entered words in search engines were “terrorist”, “Saiga”, “shotgun”, “terror”, which already says a lot.
Indeed, social networks are rich in such groups. However, not one of the groups that Roslyakov was subscribed to is promoting Columbine - a massacre at an educational institution. So Roslyakov drew "inspiration" not only in the public "brothers in the mind." He spent a lot of time playing computer games. The most sought after were those where blood flows like a river - Doom and GTA.
Roslyakov even made a photo collage. He superimposed images of corridors and various rooms of the technical school on the backgrounds of screenshots from these games. Perhaps this is how he simulated the massacre of students and college workers. Now the examination should determine whether he was guided by this scheme during the massacre or not.
It should be added that in the bag with him, another 10 IEDs of the “throwing type”, a bottle with the Molotov cocktail and 13 rounds for the gun were found.
