The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the elimination of enemy manpower by return fire in a number of areas of the NMD

The joint grouping of Russian forces in the area of ​​​​the NMD from 12:00 Moscow time on January 6 observes the ceasefire along the entire LBS. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not stop shelling settlements and Russian positions. This was announced on January 7 by the Russian Ministry of Defense, giving details of the campaign and implementation earlier declared unilateral truce for the previous day.

Moreover, the Russian Defense Ministry stressed that, despite the shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the implementation of the declared regime (truce) will be continued by Russian forces until 24:00 Moscow time today.



According to the department, the operational situation over the past day in various sectors of the front looked as follows. So, in the Kupyansky direction, near the village of Sinkovka, Kharkiv region, an attack by units of the 14th (military unit A1008) brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was repelled. Return fire destroyed more than two dozen Ukrainian soldiers, 1 tank, 1 Grad MLRS and 2 vehicles.

In the Krasnolimansky direction, Ukrainian troops carried out 11 mortar attacks on the positions of the Russian Armed Forces. Also, in the area of ​​​​Serebryansky forestry, an attack by two assault groups of the 80th (military unit A0284) and 95th (military unit A0281) brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was repelled. The total losses of Ukrainian troops here exceeded three dozen military personnel, 2 D-20 howitzers, 1 infantry fighting vehicle and 1 pickup truck.

At the same time, in the Soledarsky, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine 51 times used artillery (cannon and rocket) against units of the Russian forces.

In the Donetsk direction, Russian forces thwarted an attempt by units of the 110th (military unit A7038) and 79th (military unit A0224) brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack Russian positions in the areas of the settlements of Krasnogorovka and Georgievka in the DPR. As a result of retaliatory actions, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 50 soldiers killed and wounded, 1 tank and 1 car.

Donetsk and Makeevka were again subjected to barbaric shelling. Ukrainian servicemen fired more than six dozen large-caliber shells into residential areas of the capital of the DPR, and they hit Makiivka from HIMARS launchers.

An attack by units of the 108th (military unit A7036) brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was thwarted in the Yuzhnodonetsk (Ugledarsk) direction near the village of Novomayorskoye in the DPR. More than 20 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 D-30 howitzers, 1 armored personnel carrier and 2 pickup trucks were destroyed by return fire.

In the Zaporozhye direction, Ukrainian artillerymen opened fire 31 times. In the Kherson and Krivoy Rog directions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out 17 attacks. At the same time, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from which shelling was carried out, with return fire.

In addition, Russian air defense systems destroyed 4 Ukrainian UAVs in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. 5 rockets were intercepted for the Uragan and HIMARS MLRS, as well as the HARM anti-radar missile in the Zaporozhye region and the DPR.
