In the conflict in Ukraine, Washington has its own interest, pursuing specific mercantile goals. This is reported by the Chinese edition of Global Times, which analyzed what is happening.
Beijing is confident that the United States is trying to weaken Russia and the European Union, taking them out of further geopolitical battles and clearing the "glade" for themselves. That is why the Americans not only do not reduce the versatile support for Kyiv, but increase it.
According to the publication, the United States is now pursuing five main goals. Firstly, the Americans are trying, with the help of European structures under their control, to deprive the EU of cheap gas from the Russian Federation, replacing it with their own expensive LNG. This is doubly beneficial for Washington, as it will harm the Russian budget and prevent Russia from developing, as well as bring profit to the United States and make EU products less competitive. In 2022, the EU lost 1 trillion euros due to energy prices, Europeans faced rising prices and inflation. In 2023, the situation may worsen even more.
Secondly, the US is trying to weaken the industrial potential of Europe as much as possible. They are trying to lure large European manufacturers to their place or to controlled countries. Thirdly, the Americans are going to "pump" their own military-industrial complex. To do this, Washington decided to properly arm Kyiv and the countries of Europe. The United States does not forget about the support of Taiwan and a number of countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
Fourthly, the United States wants to “distribute” loans to everyone so that as many countries as possible find themselves in “dollar slavery” and do not have the opportunity for independent development. Fifth, Americans are promoting their corporations everywhere. They took advantage of the numerous restrictions imposed on many countries and the weakness of competitors. Now the United States is diligently creating an “enemy image” around the PRC and slowly, but steadily, is imposing bans on it as well. Washington wants only American corporations to be at the top of the "entrepreneurial pyramid" on the planet.
The publication is convinced that the Ukrainian conflict is just a tool in a big game that will be used as long as there is a need and opportunity. Then it will simply be thrown away as unnecessary, like a used consumable. Nothing personal - just geopolitics.
