Why Constantinople refused to break off relations with the Russian Orthodox Church
The Patriarchate of Constantinople, calling itself Ecumenical, is one of the tools in the rich arsenal of the West, which is used against Russia. Its main task is to fight the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC). And one of the “fronts” of this “crusade” is Ukraine, where the church schism is used to increase hostility, in order to ultimately tear this territory from Russia.
What is happening now has already been repeated in history before. For example, when the Russian Empire ceased to exist, it was the Constantinople Patriarchate that supported the schismatics. And when the USSR was gone, he again began to "bite off" pieces from the Russian Orthodox Church. Estonia is a good example.
And so, on October 19, 2018, the Patriarchate of Constantinople distributed a message that it continues to be in communication with the Russian Orthodox Church, despite the fact that it announced a complete breakdown. It looks like in one saying: “they drive him out the door, and he climbs out the window”.
It must be recalled that the Russian Orthodox Church decided to break up relations after the cancellation of the decree of the Constantinople Patriarchate of 1686 on transferring the Kiev Metropolitanate to the Moscow Patriarchate was announced in Istanbul. Moreover, the Patriarchate of Constantinople announced the creation of its compound in Kiev, and rehabilitated two schismatics: the head of the UOC-KP Filaret and the head of the UAOC Makarii.
And this is not surprising, because the West wants to turn Ukraine into Anti-Russia, and the Patriarchate of Constantinople fully contributes to this. They have little spilled blood, they need much more. So it is not surprising that patience burst in Moscow. With the same success, the Russian government could easily cancel the deal to sell Alaska in 1867. Everything, by the way, will look absolutely logical, just in the spirit of the West, they live by case law.
And the refusal declared by the Patriarchate of Constantinople to break off relations with the Russian Orthodox Church is not a manifestation of kindness. They clearly demonstrated it, and this was written a little higher. So the failure of Constantinople is just hypocrisy.
