The brigade of the 82nd All-American Airborne Division, having made an air forced march from Fort Bragg (North Carolina), then landed in Romania, the brigade of the 101st Airborne Assault Division from Fort Campbell (Kentucky) ended up in Poland in the same way , and the command and control of the 18th Airborne Corps, which includes both of these elite units, was also transferred by air from Fort Bragg (North Carolina) to Germany, where the headquarters was created, which currently exercises overall control of the ground operations of the Force rapid US deployment in Europe.

This is the most seasoned elite of the US Armed Forces, who went through a lot of wars and armed conflicts (something like our Pskov and Ryazan paratroopers of the 76th Guards Airborne Division and the 106th Guards Airborne Division), which, together with the 4th mechanized "ivy" infantry division, whose brigade of “iron horses” was transferred from Fort Carson (Colorado) to the Polish-Ukrainian border, is now trying to quickly solve the tasks that the command sets for them (what tasks I don’t know). The full deployment of the 101st Airborne Division in Romania should be the least of all viewed as Grandpa Joe's campaign stunt on the eve of the midterm congressional elections, for the simple reason that his voters don't really care what's going on in Europe, they care more about the price of a gallon of gasoline. in their homeland. This says even less about the desire of the Alzheimer's patient to invade Ukraine or take control of the situation in neighboring Moldova.

The grandfather may have a desire for this, but for this, the forces available in Europe are clearly not enough. And equipment and people of 3 / 4ID were transferred to Europe by sea - 90 Abrams tanks, 15 Paladins 155-mm self-propelled howitzers, 150 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), 500 tracked and 600 wheeled vehicles, along with 4 thousand service people. In total, in Europe, at the moment, Grandpa Joe has concentrated about 260 Abrams tanks, 45 Paladin self-propelled guns, not counting other AFVs and vehicles. While they are smeared with a thin layer across Poland, Germany, Lithuania and Romania. But if desired, and having a single command in the person of the forward headquarters "M" of the US Army Corps in Poznan, it is not so difficult to assemble them into a single whole. Yes, they have a lot of helicopters, there are three divisions of towed artillery, but there is absolutely no heavy armor - this is air "light infantry with a motor." They will not break into Ukraine with their turntables against the Russian layered air defense integrated into a single network, in terms of suicidality, this is the same as throwing a bare saber against tanks. There are no such fools in the Pentagon (and fools from the Armed Forces of Ukraine definitely have nothing to do with the command of the US 101st Airborne Division), and even if such fools were found, then BC and kerosene would only be enough for them for a couple of hours of battle, and what to do further without replenishment of these stocks, no one has yet come up with. And therefore, the task of the “screaming eagles” is not to storm Perekop or any other part of the former Ukrainian SSR, but to try to create a threat to our peacekeeping contingent in Transnistria and the artillery depots available there (the largest in Europe, by the way), and with this threat we have something Must do. But after the surrender of Kherson, this task moved from a series of "intractable" to a series of "unsolvable".
