The crash of the Su-27 in Ukraine: the head of the East command died
Something went wrong with the command of the Ukrainian armed forces with the holding of the international exercises “Clear Sky-2018”, in which about 10 NATO countries took part.
On October 16, a Su-27UB fighter belonging to 831 tactical aviation brigade deployed in Mirgorod (Poltava region) crashed in the Vinnitsa region. Both pilots died.

One of the victims was Colonel Ivan Petrenko, chief of aviation of the Vostok air command of the air forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
What need made Petrenko sit at the helm of a fighter? Leaders of this rank, as a rule, manage flights from the ground. In addition, judging by the photograph of the colonel, he clearly has some kind of health problem.
About the second dead, it is known that this is a representative of the US Air Force. The American side confirmed the death of its soldier, but stubbornly hides his name and position.
Former pilots of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who wished to remain anonymous and familiar with how things are going in the Ukrainian Air Force, suggest that, apparently, Petrenko decided to “ride” some of the American high-ranking officials, but did not manage to control, or his body didn’t withstood overloads.
