Who destroyed American democracy?
Donald Trump is the second year president of the United States, but American policy and journalists are not appeasing - they are looking for external factors and causes of the decline of democracy in the United States. Accusations of interfering in the American elections are traditionally addressed to Russia, as the United States recently announced again, but in fact, Washington’s policy itself is also ruining American democracy.
Trump's election was a serious test for the American state. In terms of intensity and “dirt,” the election campaign went around all previous elections. Both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton actively used the "dirty" Technology and black PR, inciting hatred between different groups of the American societies, speculating on political sympathies, historical grievances and economic interests.
As you know, Hillary Clinton initially focused on the support of women, low-paid groups, African Americans and Hispanics. This is the traditional “left” electorate of the US Democratic Party, if the division into left and right applies to American political life. Since both the African American and Latin American populations in the United States are quite large, Trump headquarters had to make a lot of effort.
To discredit Clinton among its potential voters, all kinds of fake news, rumors designed specifically for Cuban, Mexican, Jamaican immigrants. Clinton was declared responsible for the economic setbacks of the Caribbean and even for insufficiently active assistance to the Haitians during the earthquake. Women were frightened by the democrats' policy to further attract migrants and “nodded” at the sad experience of Western Europe, where the migration wave caused numerous cases of sexual harassment and rape of European women by African and Asian “refugees” and migrants.
At the same time, Donald Trump sought to rely on the support of the American middle class, emphasizing that he focuses on reducing migration, the revival of American industry and military power. But the methods that Trump used did not fit into the usual framework of what is permitted in elections, even in a country like the United States. American politicians, accusing Russia of “brazen interference” in the US presidential election and revealing whole mythical conspiracies, forgot about how disgusting the supporters of both presidential candidates - Clinton, and especially Trump.
The Washington Post notes that the trolls who played on the side of Donald Trump went to anything, including even accusing Hillary Clinton of pedophilia. Lies are a familiar pattern of behavior for “American Democrats,” but even now, two years after the campaign, American society is hardly moving away from it. Russian interference in America’s political life can be minimized with the help of special services, American journalists argue, but what to do with the “dirt” that Donald Trump himself spread in American politics? There seems to be no answer to this question.
