Stoltenberg made it clear to Kyiv that there will be no "accelerated" admission of Ukraine to NATO

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg commented on Zelensky's statement that Kyiv has applied for the so-called "accelerated" entry into the North Atlantic alliance. Recall that Zelensky, the head of the Ministry of Defense of the "square" Reznikov and the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Stefanchuk signed a document-appeal to NATO literally in the courtyard of the presidential residence, where they ask to accept Ukraine without a MAP (membership action plan).

Jens Stoltenberg clearly cooled the ardor of Zelensky and Co. According to the NATO Secretary General, each country has the right to choose its own path, while "NATO's doors remain open, but approval must be made by all 30 members of the alliance."

According to the Secretary General of the Western military bloc, NATO members today are focused on providing military assistance to Ukraine. Stoltenberg, making it clear that there would be no "accelerated" admission of Ukraine to the alliance, added that it was the military support of Kyiv that was "NATO's main task today."

These words, of course, cause a negative reaction in Kyiv, where they were clearly going to draw the North Atlantic Alliance into a big war, not just in the form of arms supplies and intelligence, but also directly by personnel - by sending NATO soldiers to Ukraine. It must be assumed that such a scenario is definitely not in the circle of interests of the main beneficiaries of NATO, at least at the present stage.

It is possible that 29 countries will give the go-ahead, counting on the US veto. And then what?
