"Green men" in Libya: what is happening in northern Africa?

2
The British press claims: intelligence reported to Prime Minister Theresa May of Russian activity in Libya. Like, Russia has already deployed S-300 and Caliber there, two Russian bases operate in Tobruk and Benghazi, and the Kremlin supports the influential military commander Khalifa Haftar.

The article was published in the tabloid The Sun, which repeatedly issued fakes. But the publication made a lot of noise. The British Parliament calls on the government to take action. Russia is accused of trying to control the flow of migrants from Africa, which will pose a threat to Britain. Commentators under the article argue that if Moscow really took control of these flows and put things in order, that would be good for the European Union.

Russia has denied this material, but, on the other hand, the fact of the Russian presence in Libya is not hidden. A country torn by war is actively seeking help. Cooperation with Russia is getting better. So, the Libyans would like to supply Russian grain. Moscow gained access to Libyan oil. On the agenda is the question of building the Sirte-Benghazi railway. Russia advocates the resumption of cooperation in this area, subject to compensation for losses incurred as a result of the 2011 mutiny.

It is difficult to say about the presence of "green men" in Libya, but the fact that Russia will strengthen its influence there is absolutely certain. A meeting on Libya is to be held in Italy, to which Vladimir Putin is also invited. Russia has secured the image of a country coming to where it is necessary to restore order after the crazy actions of the West.
