Lukashenko: “Talking about the inclusion of Belarus in Russia is simply ridiculous”

2
On October 10, 2018, the V Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia started in the Belarusian city of Mogilev. It will last until October 12 and its culmination will be a meeting of the presidents of both states, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin.

And while 30 Russian governors were bustling about signing 40 mutually beneficial contracts totaling $ 0,5 billion, Alexander Lukashenko met with Mikhail Babich. He has been working as the Russian Ambassador to Belarus since August 24 and at, load, is the special representative of the President of Russia for the development of trade andeconomic relations with this country.

The President of Belarus expressed absolute confidence in further constructive relations with Moscow. Having specified, turning to Babich, that he wants this period to be “proud of both my and your children.”

Lukashenko did not bypass the assumptions of individual analysts in some media outlets that reported on the possible entry of Belarus into Russia. He, with his characteristic bluntness, openly declared that in the recent past, independence was not only wanted by Minsk and the Belarusian people - this was what Moscow wanted. Rather, the leadership of Russia, which was at that time. And the current leadership has confirmed this, declaring the continuity of the course.

That is why Lukashenko believes that talking about the inclusion of Belarus in Russia is simply ridiculous. In any case, he had never heard such a proposal from the Presidents of the Russian Federation. Bearing in mind both the current and the previous.

    -Of course ... funny ...
    - After all, Belarus has not yet worn out and has not worn out completely ... - The constant Russian monetary, oil and gas "subsidies" are still heating it, nourishing it and letting it stay afloat ... - Well, and there ... - as God will send. ..

I think the current status quo suits everyone. Belarus, and so, in a sense, is an integral part of Russia. Formal inclusion can lead to a strengthening of the nationalist component in the minds of the population. Does Russia need this? I don’t think so.
