Expert: Deliveries of Western artillery systems played a cruel joke on the Armed Forces of Ukraine

6

Western countries supply various kinds of artillery systems to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, this does not help the Ukrainian armed forces and brings a lot of confusion. Military expert Mikhail Khodarenok wrote about this in his telegram channel.

After losing up to half of its artillery, Ukraine began to receive self-propelled guns and howitzers from NATO countries. But almost immediately it became clear that there were not enough shells for such weapons, since earlier Ukrainian artillery used ammunition of a certain (Soviet) caliber. It is almost impossible to bring Western shells to the front line in time.

This state of affairs has led to the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine use shells of very diverse calibers: 100, 105, 122, 130, 152, 155 and 203 mm. This creates great difficulties for the gunners. So, within 30-50 km, Ukrainian military personnel may have at their disposal several hundred guns of completely different types, the ammunition for which is sorely lacking, and it is not possible to deliver them on time from warehouses.

Hence the shell starvation, and the abandoned American M777 howitzers in positions, and much more.

- the analyst thinks.

Mikhail Khodarenok considers the United States to be the culprit of this “evil joke”, which tried to blindly transfer the experience of military operations in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, neighboring countries are trying to get rid of obsolete weapons at the expense of Ukraine. Thus, Croatia sent a batch of Soviet 130-mm M-46 towed guns from the early 1950s to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There are no shells for them in the Ukrainian army.

    Peremoga ....
Old guns, albeit with a confusion of calibers, are better for the Armed Forces of Ukraine than no guns at all.
Even the mentioned 139mm without shells can be used as decoys ....

"Liberal experts" simply stupefy the people ...

And where did the Deutsches hide 88-mm shells of tank and anti-tank guns? What about shells for 15.0 cm howitzers? There is not? What if I find it?

Disposal of weapons and ammunition is a very troublesome and expensive business. And by supplying everything to Ukraine, several birds with one stone are killed: you don’t have to use your personnel and training grounds, you don’t have to think about where to put what is left of weapons and ammunition, and in the event of an unauthorized explosion or something like that, you can always blame the Armed Forces of Ukraine .

While there is enough, they fire, God forbid: a lot and often.

A split in the artillery is so romantic.
