Refusal from the IMF: Turkey gets rid of the "bondage" of the United States

3
Turkey, despite the difficulties, continues to gradually get rid of the bondage of the United States - its "partner and ally" in NATO. Ankara’s next step in this direction was the rejection of IMF loans.

During a speech at the Congress of the Justice and Development Party in Kyzyljahamam, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey "closes the page of IMF loans so that it will never be opened again."

Washington provoked an aggravation of relations with Turkey in 2016, when supporters of the hiding in the United States preacher Gulen attempted a military coup. The United States, which initiated the rebellion, not only refused to extradite a preacher at the request of the Turkish authorities, but charged Ankara with human rights violations.

Further, Washington first imposed sanctions against Turkish officials, and subsequently President Donald Trump gave the green light to raising duties on Turkish steel and aluminum, which led to a significant drop in the Turkish lira.

Judging by the decision to refuse IMF loans, Turkey is determined and ready to continue to aggravate relations with the United States. Perhaps the next step along this path will be the expulsion of the Americans from the Incirlik military base.

We must pay tribute, today not many countries in the world are capable of this.

Erdogan concluded that the United States is a friend only for itself and its interests; it can throw any ally, including a NATO member.

By rejecting the IMF, Erdogan shows a certain courage and confidence in himself and his course. Erdogan tightly controls the army, and otherwise there may be some general Hasan who wants to return the IMF (they have "extra tugriks" for such purposes).
Regarding NATO membership and the Irdzelik base, it is somewhat more complicated: they have too much mutual interlacing to break sharply - it does not meet the interests of Turkey and the United States. I think Erdogan can slightly "massage the tonsils" to make the Americans more generous

    - What a cheap, weird performance ...
-And what then Erdogan expects in the future ..?
    - Apparently, Russia again threw him loans for poverty (free of charge) .., or even promised to hold on to the gas pipe for free .., or made a solid discount on the construction of a nuclear power plant in Turkey ..; or promised another "benefits" when buying (supplying) and selling (distributing) Russian gas, when the Russian gas pipeline in Turkey starts functioning ...
-Yes ... -Erdogan is a fairly successful political leader ... -everything falls right into his hands ... -on the one hand, NATO membership (in which Turkey will never be touched by anyone) ..; on the other hand ... - caring Russia, which is ready to break into a cake to please Turkey ... and constantly equips millions of its Russian tourists and ..., buying Turkish goods in huge quantities (including tomatoes) ...
-And there is ... Frau Merkel .. who is also connected with Turkey by eternal ... faithful love ... -Yes ...- lucky to Erdogan ... -Hahah ...
