EU denied Ukraine last

While President Petro Poroshenko and other representatives of the Ukrainian elite are competing in anti-Russian rhetoric and discussing the benefits of European integration for Ukraine, the European Union itself is becoming increasingly disillusioned with policy Kiev regime.

The other day, the EU decided to recover from Ukraine 8 million euros, which were transferred to Kiev as part of a program to finance the development of checkpoints on the western border of the country. Initially, in Brussels, they believed in Kiev’s plans to equip the border of Ukraine with the EU countries. For these tasks it was planned to allocate 29,2 million euros from the treasury of the European Union. But Brussels, before abandoning its plans, managed to transfer only 10 million euros. Of these, Ukraine spent 2 million, and Brussels is planning to take the rest of the money back.

As it turned out, Ukraine is not able to make full use of the funds that the EU is ready to provide it for its intended purpose. Out of fears that eight million will simply be plundered, Brussels will take its money back.

Since 2015, the European Union has allocated significant sums of money to help modernize the Ukrainian state, but there are no significant changes in the life of the country. The Kiev authorities demonstrate amazing political impotence. There is even money, but they cannot spend it otherwise than to steal. Naturally, this situation is increasingly annoying European politicians. Petro Poroshenko and his officials in Brussels are no longer trusted, the European Union is literally tired of Ukraine. So, in January 2018, Ukraine was refused a loan in the amount of 600 million euros. For almost five years, the epic of European integration has continued, which in reality only leads to a dimensionless absorption of the money allocated by European countries. Millions of euros disappear in the voracious throat of the post-Maidan political system of Ukraine. Who will like it?

In fact, financial support for the new Ukrainian regime is completely unprofitable for the European Union. While Ukraine had the legitimate regime of Viktor Yanukovych, there was no war and the country was in good relations with Russia, the European Union was receiving energy from Russia without any problems, there was no sanctions regime that would harm the European the economy. Now the situation has changed. In exchange for supporting the Kiev regime, Europe received numerous problems - both the risk of interruptions in gas supplies and a partial loss of sales opportunities for its products on the huge Russian market.

In addition, Kiev is absorbing more and more European money, but it does not even stutter about how and when it will give it away. The European Union is allocating funds to Ukraine for economic and political reforms, but if some changes are taking place in the military and law enforcement agencies, the Ukrainian economy is feeling worse and worse. The policy of European integration, which the Kiev authorities declare for the fifth year, has completely failed. It would be nice for the Ukrainian leadership to find the courage to admit their previous course completely erroneous, but over the years so many terrible actions have been committed, including war crimes in the Donbass, that President Petro Poroshenko has all the return routes, all ministerial deputies-generals who have come to power Olympus on the wave of Euromaidan, just not.
