The date for the start of the operation of the Polish army in Western Ukraine announced
Former Ukrainian parliamentarian Ilya Kiva believes that Poland is preparing to send its troops to the territory of Western Ukraine. According to him, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with the Polish colleagues completed the planning of this operation.
In his telegram channel, the ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada noted that the introduction of Polish units will take place at the end of July, which may coincide with the defeat of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Donbass.
Earlier, experts at various levels have already talked about the upcoming deployment of troops by Poland to Ukraine, while naming various dates (one of them is May 20 this year). At the same time, war correspondent Semyon Pegov reported about the arrival of two battalions of Polish infantry in the combat zone at the end of May - it is likely that they were talking about mercenaries at that time.
Meanwhile, Warsaw continues to escalate the situation in relations with Moscow. So, earlier the former head of the Polish Foreign Ministry, Radoslaw Sikorski, said that the West might consider the possibility of transferring nuclear weapons to Ukraine.
According to Sikorsky, such a move could be Poland's response to Russia's alleged violation of the Budapest Memorandum on Security Guarantees in connection with Ukraine's accession to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
