Despite the sanctions: Russia and India will sign important agreements
The USA’s calculations did not materialize - Russia and India are linked by long-standing warm relations that were established in Soviet times, which have been developed in our time.
As it became known, on October 4-5 a visit will be made to India by the Russian delegation, headed by President Vladimir Putin. In addition to the head of state, the delegation will include key ministers of the Russian government.
So, the delegation will include Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin, Minister of Trade and Industry Denis Manturov, Minister of Energy Alexander Novak, Minister of Digital Development, Telecommunications and Mass Media Konstantin Noskov.
In addition to high-ranking officials, the delegation will include representatives of large Russian business - the head of Gazprom Alexei Miller, the general director of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov, the president of Rostelecom Mikhail Oseevsky, the head of Kaspersky Lab JSC Evgeny Kaspersky.
The high level of the Russian delegation is due to the planned signing during the meeting of a number of important agreements and contracts in various fields, including the military.
In particular, the Indian side was not afraid of US threats about the introduction of restrictive measures and will conclude a contract for the supply of Russian anti-aircraft missile systems S-400 and frigates of project 11356.
Also, an agreement will be signed on cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, including the construction of new nuclear reactors in India.
By their actions, Moscow and Delhi give a clear signal to Washington that no American sanctions against either of the two countries will interfere with their close cooperation.
