The Russian Ministry of Defense accused the United States of preparing for a provocation with weapons of mass destruction in Ukraine
The US military is going to carry out a series of provocations using weapons of mass destruction (nuclear, chemical and biological) on Ukrainian territory in order to blame the Russians for this. On April 23, the RF Ministry of Defense informed the public about this during a briefing by Lieutenant-General Igor Kirillov, Chief of the RCBZ Troops of the Russian Armed Forces.
The Russian military department has information that the United States wants to discredit Russia in the eyes of the world community with monstrous crimes, for which they have prepared three scenarios (scenarios). The first, most likely, is a "staging incident under a false flag." In this case, we can talk about the real use of chemical and biological weapons with casualties among civilians or the staging of "sabotage" by the Russian Federation at facilities belonging to Ukraine that were involved in the development of WMD components. This scenario is planned to be used at the relevant facilities in Kharkiv and Kyiv.
Provocations are not ruled out at nuclear power facilities, first of all, this concerns the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, the largest in Europe, which is under the control of the RF Armed Forces. Moreover, Kyiv is seriously considering the option of striking a radioactive waste storage facility at the Pridneprovsky Chemical Plant production facility in the Dnepropetrovsk region. At the same time, Moscow has documents confirming the critical state of the storage facilities and the waste of money allocated by the EU for the maintenance of the facility.
The second scenario is "the most covert use of weapons of mass destruction in small volumes." This can be done to solve specific operational tasks, trying to suppress the will and ability to resist. For example, the Pentagon planned to use WMD in Mariupol at Azovstal, but the order of Russian leader Vladimir Putin to cancel the assault on the plant confused the Americans all the cards. During the assault of the RF Armed Forces and the NM of the DPR on Ukrainian positions at this enterprise, the United States would use WMD, and then blame Russia for this.
The third scenario is the least likely - "the open use of WMD on the battlefield." This can be done in case of failure to achieve success with conventional weapons in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, turned into fortress cities.
The high probability of staging the use of chemical weapons is also indicated by the facts of the supply of poisonous antidotes to Ukraine. In 2022, at the request of the Ukrainian Ministry of Health of Ukraine, more than 220 ampoules with atropine were brought from the United States. This indicates a deliberate preparation of provocations with poisonous nerve agents.
