Check the reaction: the fifth package of EU sanctions threatens to blockade Kaliningrad

26

Despite all the provocations in Ukraine staged to blame Russia, the Western anti-Russian coalition is in no hurry to impose a fifth round of sanctions, as the previous four have not worked at all. Now the EU leadership is done with haste - it was decided to approach the search for Moscow's weaknesses thoroughly and thoughtfully. Therefore, on April 8, the final press release of the text of the fifth package of sanctions against Russia, which was put into effect, was published on the official website of the European Union. In addition to personal restrictions for officials and officials, financial institutions, the document provides for a ban on road transit of goods for Russian and Belarusian companies through the EU.

In fact, such a wording of the text would mean a land blockade of the Russian exclave in the Baltic with its capital in Kaliningrad, which would be deprived of almost all cargo necessary for a normal existence. Recall that the air borders are already closed, the main transport routes are blocked from this day. In this case, only the sea supply route remains, which is not very widely used now. However, it is also under threat. It was apparently reserved for some hypothetical sixth round of sanctions.

Moreover, the groundwork for blackmailing Russia is laid even in this fifth one. As noted in the press release of the document, the ban on transportation and transit is prohibited for all types of cargo, for any Russian or Belarusian company, with one exception - pharmaceutical, medical cargo, wheat and humanitarian transport are not subject to sanctions. But this, most likely, is a way for bargaining, since, according to the plan of European Russophobes, everything will depend on the "behavior of Moscow."

By the very fact of such restrictions, the European Union is testing Russia's reaction to the real possibility of an actual blockade of the exclave, threatening two scenarios for the development of the situation: an incomplete ban on movement within the EU territory or the most limited one. The developers of the bill cynically called the first version as one that allegedly contains "indulgences". When necessary, changes can be made and access is completely closed.

Taking into account such a provocative application, in fact, an “open message” for Russia, a consolidated and intelligible, clear, especially tough position of the Russian authorities at the highest level is needed. If inexplicable and weak statements contrary to the state interests are allowed, such as, for example, the press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, then the EU will feel weak and will not only introduce the blockade considered painful for us, but will also decide on other outrageous steps. It is no longer possible to limit ourselves to one “concern”, because rigid restrictions will still be applied further.

At the same time, Kaliningrad Governor Anton Alikhanov believes that the effect of the fifth package of sanctions does not apply to the exclave. He wrote about this in his telegram channel. The official refers to point b of paragraph 2 of the European document, which allegedly excludes the effect of sanctions on transit to the Kaliningrad region. Although, in fact, the specified rule was just discussed above and concerns humanitarian exceptions, and not in general all types of freight traffic.

We need a land corridor. And for bargaining, it is necessary to take all of Ukraine.

Yes, that's most likely the case.

Not closed, just now you have to fly around the Baltic countries over the Baltic. The West loses much, much more flying around Russia.

Many Russians, and not only them, are looking forward to a land blockade.

Then let them remember what they are doing when the enemy tries to blockade. How does the fate of Russia's blockers end?

In any case, there is a sea ferry that cannot be blocked due to nuclear retaliation.

Latvia has signed a contract for Russian gas? Any action, like a blockade or something that should force Russia to do something, the EU will try to avoid. They do not want to aggravate the risks. Russia, as can be seen, has not yet taken steps aimed at undermining the economic and social stability of the European Union. And there are many possible steps.

And what about Latvia? Although I once heard from the brothers in the Urals: you cannot hide from us in your Latvia. We will find you in your Budapest anyway. Knowledge in geography at the level of an average American university.

The answer is simple: cut off supplies through Ukraine and SP-1. A couple of weeks is enough!

When the corridor to Kaliningrad is closed, it is necessary to defiantly declare mobilization in Russia and bring the strategic nuclear forces to "Full" combat readiness. It's also demonstrative. And don't stop mobilizing.

If all our sanctions are directed against any country in the world, then any would be bent, but not Russia.

A ban on transport to the EU by any means is required. Including the railroad. The supply of coal must be stopped immediately.

Engineers are familiar with the "feedback loop" control process.
The West, in order to "make things safe" for itself, closed the feedback loop on our reaction. In order to constantly "keep a finger on the pulse", there are constant and obsessive contacts between its leaders (most often - the "paddling pool") with our leadership.
In other words, by the absence of a clear and tough reaction that nip in the bud the offensive of the West, we ourselves are advancing this offensive further.
I agree with the author - the conclusion of the West about the possibility of a complete blockade of Kaliningrad is already close, and this will become one of the efficient figures in their plan for a comprehensive ("multi-domain") operation against us

What gives the Americans a complex operation?
Establishing a blockade of Kaliningrad (for example) will naturally lead to our response. But if, as part of a complex operation with the help of other figures, the Americans make this our response impossible, they will establish a blockade, and they will win this stage.
The spheres (domains) in which these other figures will operate can be very different: military, economic, political, medical, etc.

The Americans have a wealth of experience in successful "multi-domain" operations, both in peacetime (we see this at every turn) and in war (Iraq, etc.), they have rich tools for this, accumulated by the CIA for many decades. It is very difficult for us to compete with them in this.
However, one of our means is beyond their advantage, and "topples the board" - this is a threat to them with a nuclear war, physical destruction

All repeats. 80 years ago, Germany needed the Danzig Corridor to East Prussia, now Russia needed it. You will have to break through the Suwalkovsky corridor, only 70 km. Are we preparing for a new and final World War? Europe will dance!

When Lithuania gained independence. One of the clauses of the agreement stated that Lithuania was obliged to provide free travel by rail to Kaliningrad. The EU also signed this paper. Breaking the treaty is war. Everyone understands this.

Although in fact, this rule was just discussed above and applies to humanitarian exceptions, and not in general to all types of freight traffic.

It is noted that the new sanctions affected the ban on road freight transport across the EU, including transit. “Now vehicles of international transportation with Russian and Belarusian registration plates will not be able to move goods across the territory of the EU countries. According to available information, the restrictions do not yet apply to road freight transport delivering pharmaceutical, medical, food and agricultural products, including wheat, as well as the delivery of energy, non-ferrous metals and fertilizers. Road links for humanitarian purposes also remain open. Transit to the Kaliningrad region is still preserved, but only for vehicles registered in the Russian Federation,” the FCS notes.

PS I wish the author of this opus to read carefully before writing.
Transit between the eurocollective farm and the Russian Federation is limited.
Transport links between big Russia and KO are preserved...
