The idea of reusable use of launch vehicles today is in the trend itself. It was again brought into fashion by the American billionaire Ilon Musk, whose SpaceX company had been developing the Falcon9 for almost ten years. Behind her on the heels is another company from the United States called Blue Origin. Their developments in this area are actively being conducted in China and India. It is believed that due to repeated use of the media will increase economic launch efficiency.

However, there is another point of view, according to which the transition to reusable launch vehicles will simply kill the space industry, because instead of ten rockets a year, it will only be necessary to build one. Also a big problem is the overall decrease in cargo flow, which must be delivered to orbit.

Despite these considerations, the state corporation Roscosmos announced its readiness to develop its own reusable media based on the Angara due to its modernization. And now from the Russian Federation to the race of technologies The private company S7, which owns the Sea Launch floating spaceport, also joined. The Russian company announced its readiness to develop its own reusable missile. Most likely, for its use it will be necessary to create a floating landing platform, on which the returning first stage of the rocket can land.

It is noteworthy that representatives of S7 expect to manage in just five years, that is, twice as fast as the “man-rocket” Ilon Mask.
