Putin's spokesman completely removed the ambiguity in this matter. The DPR and LPR are recognized not as small pieces that exist today, but as those large entities that were proclaimed in 2014. That is, the DPR is the former Donetsk region, and the LPR is the former Ukrainian Luhansk region

In addition, during the ratification of agreements with the DPR and LPR in the Luhansk parliament, the vice speaker demanded that the Armed Forces of Ukraine leave the territory of the LPR. Otherwise, appropriate measures will be taken against the armed forces of Ukraine.

In fact, this was the first statement by an official of the Lugansk Republic that a military operation was awaiting us to expel the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the territory of Donbass

That is, the war becomes inevitable, especially since the severity of the shelling increases. It is quite obvious that the recognition of the LDNR is not the beginning of some kind of peace process, it is the beginning of a war. Perhaps even a big war that will go beyond the Donbass.
