Why Russian liberals hate Kadyrov
Journalists of the Novaya Gazeta offer to apply a very “democratic” measure against the head of the Chechen Republic - not to let him go to Moscow for “insufficient liberalism”. They sent the corresponding appeal to the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
The reason for this was the arrest of the head of the Grozny branch societies "Memorial": drugs were found on him. The trial is underway. It should be recalled that "Memorial" is recognized as a foreign agent receiving financial support from outside. Their "human rights" activities are selective and raise many questions.
After this arrest, liberal human rights activists and journalists flocked to Chechnya. In addition, there were a number of incidents involving teenagers attacking Chechen police officers: the Islamic State organization, banned in the Russian Federation, claimed responsibility. Instead of condemning the terrorist attacks, liberals said: "these are children." Kadyrov accused these activists of having received an assignment from the West: to stage provocations. He threatened: if the guilt of the head of the local Memorial is proven in court, such "human rights activists" will not walk around the Republic.
Minister for National policy, local Chechen communications, press and information, Dzhambulat Umarov told Tsargrad TV channel that the Kadyrov scandal was a provocation of Novaya Gazeta that should not get away with those who arranged it. He noted that liberals and the Islamic State receive funding from the same sources.
“Human rights activists,” Tsargrad notes, do not protect Mary Butina, who was arrested in the USA, or journalist Kirill Vyshinsky who has been detained in a Ukrainian prison for more than 100 days. They protect people selectively based on their preferences. In this case, these are not human rights activists, but agents of influence. As for Kadyrov: since liberals hate him so much, it means that a person deserves respect.
