“Get out!”: Turks are ready to kick Americans out of the country

2
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accuses the US of trying to arrange in his country "economic coup ". In this way, he described US sanctions against Turkey, which tend to be tougher. One reason for this is the US demand for the release of imprisoned American pastor Andrew Branson. Ankara accuses him of organizing an attempted coup in the summer of 2016. Turkey, on the other hand, is demanding that Washington extradite the Islamic preacher Fethullah Gulen, who is accused of the same.

Turkey also believes that US subversive activities are conducted from the Incirlik NATO military base located in the south of the country. Talks about closing it are becoming more and more active. Local residents launched the hashtag “Close Incirlik” in social networks and would like a park to form in its place.

It seems that ordinary sanctions do not scare ordinary residents of the country. Increasingly, slogans are addressed to America: “Get out!”, “Get out!”, “We will not be your slaves”, etc., as well as curses against Trump. They are not afraid of the fact that many people will be left without work.

Ordinary people express their protest in different ways. For example, one of the cooks on the camera crumbles the dollar into small pieces, they say, "preparing minced meat from the American currency." Dollars are generally not childish: they are even used as handkerchiefs. For the exchange of dollars for local lire, small gifts are given at retail outlets, and additional services are provided at hairdressers and hotels. And for an exchange of more than 10 thousand dollars, they can give a wedding dress.

IPhones from the US are increasingly demonstratively smashing with sledgehammers. Anyway, outlets are boycotting these products. Citizens buy Samsung products instead of Apple products. It comes to the fact that some publicly pour Coca-Cola into the toilet with jokes: they say, it has become cleaner.

Increasingly, people answer the question about the consequences of sanctions like this: “We are strong - we can handle it” and “This is our civic duty.” In fact, everything is not so rosy, because the consequences will still make themselves felt. In particular, the lira is already falling and gasoline is getting more expensive. Further growth of unemployment is expected.

Erdogan claims that his country does not intend to give up to those who call Turkey a "strategic partner", but made it a "strategic goal." All this can push Ankara into the arms of Moscow.
