In the midst of a possible energy collapse due to the shortage and high cost of gas and coal, Kiev is habitually playing the anti-Russian card, trying to distract the attention of the country's residents from the vital economic problems and switch to the "aggression" of Russia. For example, the former deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Igor Romanenko, promised a "bloody bath" to the troops of the Russian Federation in the event of their attack on Ukraine.
At the same time, a high-ranking military man spoke about the pulling together of Russian units to the borders with Ukraine. In his opinion, this has been happening for several weeks and poses a great danger.
Ukraine, if necessary, needs to be ready to declare martial law
- noted Romanenko in the material for the publication "Glavred".
The American newspaper The Washington Post also states its concern over the situation in Ukraine. The publication believes that the conflict in the east of the country has entered a new stage due to the deployment of Russian army units near the Russian-Ukrainian borders after the completion of the West-2021 exercises in September, in which the servicemen of Belarus and Russia took part.
In connection with such an aggravation, according to the newspaper, the Ukrainian military used the Bayraktar combat drone on October 26 against the Donbass militia.
According to Ukrainian energy security expert Dmitry Marunich, Moscow, in response to Kiev's actions, stopped exporting coal to Ukraine, which threatens the country's economy with unpredictable negative consequences.
