Ukraine has a good potential to provide itself with gas of its own production. However, to achieve such a result requires some effort. Local industry expert Andriy Hnatush spoke about this on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel Apostrof TV.

The specialist noted that "blue fuel" is produced in Ukraine, it is of proper quality and is available in the subsoil in sufficient quantities. It's just that those who produce gas are not interested in selling it on the territory of Ukraine at a cheap price, so they sell it abroad, at the exchange value (now about 40 thousand UAH per thousand cubic meters).



But this is a strategic issue, and the government should concentrate all its efforts on increasing domestic gas production, because we want to be energetically independent, including from Moscow. And today our representatives are going to bow to the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, so that he would insure us in case of anything.

Gnatush added that Ukraine is experiencing an acute shortage of energy raw materials. For example, as of October 10, gas reserves in Ukraine's UGS facilities were 33% less than in the same period in 2020. There are 10,6 billion cubic meters. m of gas, but for the passage of winter, at least 15 billion cubic meters are required. m. With coal, the situation is even worse. There are 0,75 million tons, but you need 3 times more and there is practically nowhere to take it. Therefore, the total fuel reserves for the winter will not be enough.

He stressed that Ukraine is still actually part of a single energy system with Russia and Belarus. Taking this into account, Kiev will be insured by buying electricity from Minsk and Moscow. There are no other options and this is inevitable, given the current circumstances.

But when this happens, we will then crawl on our knees in order to be rescued, because now we do not have agreements on providing emergency assistance to each other. And then we will be exposed to harsh conditions, remembering the closed sky, and expressions towards the leadership of Belarus, and the like.

Gnatush concluded that it was impossible to change the situation quickly. The internal gas production program has failed. Nobody is responsible for this. At the same time, NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine is engaged in making money on the Ukrainians.

    Let the Ukrainians develop, produce, use their own gas, counting it at the same time. As an average resident of Russia, I have absolutely nothing to do with this.
    I have seen a figure that in my country of Russia, 30% of the population is heated with wood. And even more they do not have water supply and sewerage, using the "amenities" in the yards. This somehow saddens me more.

Plus, they bought electricity to the maximum from the "aggressor" of the Russian Federation and Belarus.       Now they have less coal than last year by 30%.
      Last year, gas transit was 65 billion cubic meters, now - 40. Already at the beginning of this year, Slovakia refused to Ukraine in a virtual reverse, they themselves did not have enough. And now? The transit is the same, 40 billion, has not increased. What about the price? There is also little gas in UGS facilities in Europe. So, Ukraine will not have enough gas or money.
      And what about electricity? With what face Zelensky will even pry into Luka, after wiping his feet on him. I'm not even talking about Putin. Until Medvedchuk is released, Putin will not talk to anyone.
      Putin has already sent a message to Europe: the price of gas was rolled out to "fraternal" Serbia at $ 800. The Serbs, of course, will eventually get a discount, but Moldova is unlikely. Moldova will also undress Ukraine additionally (by order of the USA).
      So after all, both coal and electricity prices have increased - Mom, do not worry!
      Putin and Luka will supply electricity and gas, of course, but certainly not at the domestic price. European. And 404 has no money. But they will also give Medvedchuk, not Zelensky.
