The first transgender admiral appears in the USA
The new American administration is pushing hard on its policies civilizational "values". In the United States, the country's first four-star transgender admiral appeared. This was another "achievement" of the White House, which is trying to prove to humanity that the United States is a country of opportunity.
Rachel Levine, 63, has become the US Assistant Secretary of Health. On October 19, she was sworn in as Admiral of the Public Health Corps Commissioner of the country. Levine is an openly transsexual and the highest-ranking transgender officer in all eight US security forces.
Prior to that, Levine was a health director for the state of Pennsylvania, writing research papers on medical marijuana and pediatric medicine. After taking the oath, Levin said that what happened is not only a "wonderful moment" for her personally, but also has "historical significance" for others.
My achievement is the result of the efforts of the LGBTQ + representatives who preceded me, both known and unknown.
Said Levin.
At 53, the future admiral, doctor and father of two, Richard Levine, underwent gender reassignment surgery, becoming a woman and taking the name Rachel. Now Levin has 6 thousand employees subordinate to him. The head of the US Department of Health Xavier Becerra called Levin's appointment "a giant step forward towards the equality of the nation."
We remind you that Levin was personally promoted by US President Joe Biden. In March, he offered her for the position. Levine is now the first officially recognized transgender federal official to be confirmed by the US Senate.
