There were footage of the de-orbiting of the Russian spy satellite "Razbeg"
According to American and Canadian sources, the Russian reconnaissance satellite "Kosmos-2551", under which the head new optical reconnaissance satellite of the "Runaway" series of the Russian military department, went out of orbit over North America. On September 9, 2021, it was launched into orbit from the Plesetsk cosmodrome using the Soyuz-2.1V light launch vehicle.
The spacecraft crash footage shows the descending satellite burning up in the atmosphere.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense previously noted the successful launch of the object into low-earth orbit. However, the movement and performance of the "Run-up" required certain adjustments and actions from the Earth, which were not carried out. Thus, the satellite actually did not function and, having left orbit, annihilated in the dense layers of the atmosphere.
The mass of the new generation small-size optical reconnaissance satellite was about 250 kg. Probably, the device was equipped with a digital camera developed by the Belarusian Peleng LLC with a maximum resolution of 0,9 m in panchromatic mode.
Earlier, the Finnish wood processing company UPM announced the postponement of the launch of the first-ever wooden WISA Woodsat satellite into Earth orbit until 2022 due to problems with radio frequencies. The satellite was designed to carry out missions in a wide variety of industries: space education, materials science, radio amateur communications, etc.
