In Europe intend to build a gigantic wind turbine

12

Europeans, worried about the shortage and high cost of electricity in connection with the raging energy crisis in Europe, are looking for ways to solve the problem. Danish wind generator company Vestas Wind Systems plans to revolutionize the country's wind industry by creating a new plant of record size, according to OilPrice.

Amid a shortage of fossil energy resources and exacerbated environmental problems, Europe and other large regions of the world are betting on renewable energy sources. The installation of a giant wind turbine by the Danes is the next step of the Europeans on the path of "green" energy.

It is planned that the height of the power plant will reach 280 meters (slightly less than that of the Eiffel Tower, towering over Paris at a height of 300 meters), with a blade span of 115,5 meters. For functional testing of the huge wind turbine, a prototype of the new wind turbine will be installed onshore in the second half of 2022. The facility's designers expect the generator to be operational by the end of next year.

The wind power of the turbine is expected to be 80 Gigawatt-hours per year, which should be enough to power about 20 households. According to Vestas representatives, it will be "the tallest and most powerful wind turbine in the world."

By the way, the Earth is a very sickly flywheel. There is no friction at all.
Rivet the generator and go ahead, into a bright green future ...

But there is one BUT, in calm weather minus kilowatts!

That's right, there can be no constant calm on the seashore just according to the laws of physics - oge, grade 9 - the sea and land heat up differently, in the morning the wind is on one side, in the evening - on the other.

If it blows only at a speed of 1,5 - 2 meters per second, then the sense of the wind generator is a little more than 0. I myself live by the Baltic Sea, this summer there were a lot of days with little wind. hi

The Chinese have already shown how one generator can provide electricity for up to 20 households. In this case, the wind turbine is in the sea and not on land.
The essence of the dispute is extremely simple - the Russian economy lives on fossil fuels, which means that there is no need to invest in competencies for the development of alternative sources - if the trend intensifies, and it intensifies, then there will be a drop in demand for fossil sources. At the same time, the funny thing is that fuel for Russians will only go up in price, and along with fuel, prices for everything.

It always makes me laugh when they talk about green energy.
Burning fossil coal, oil and gas is definitely wrong, because this is a very valuable chemical raw material and it is simply stupid to burn it - well, it's like stoking a fireplace with fragments of Finnish furniture. When it’s pinned down in the ice age, and it will do, but now it’s better not.
Gas and coal power plants from the point of view of the planet are huge fires, unnatural, permanent and harmful. Of course, you cannot compare with volcanoes - one awakened Eyjafuhzkakegotamkjudl will work in a month like all our coal-fired power plants in a year.
Windmills are a great idea, not new, windmills have been working for the benefit of industry for 2 thousand years. Tidal power plants, geothermal - why not - this is free energy that spins in the earth itself and we only redirect it - no damage to the environment.
Hydroelectric power plants - there is damage to the ecosystem, we disrupt the circulation of rivers, but again we are not bringing anything new to the energy balance of the planet.
The atom - if it hadn't been touched - it would have emitted and decomposed in the earth for thousands of years, we are accelerating this process. There is an increase in the temperature of the planet.
And finally - solar panels. This fetish is worn by all and sundry. But think about it! Sunlight, hitting the ground, should be partially absorbed, partially reflected, and then the earth will radiate excess heat into space. The problem with greenhouse gases is that they prevent the earth from emitting - almost all of the sun's energy remains on the earth. And what solar panels do is the same!
    All solar energy stays here!
So solar panels and global warming are like farting under a blanket or, on the contrary, holding back and leaving everything to yourself. One hell of a thing under the covers. Only without solar panels can the blanket be lifted ...
I liked one piece of news - right now, too lazy to search - the albedo of our planet, its reflective ability has sharply decreased over the past 20 years. Glaciers are melting, Greenland absorbs more, and then they have installed solar panels everywhere and they do not reflect anything at all ...

Wind turbines operate in a narrow range of wind speeds. There is such a thing as a power utilization factor. For wind generators (of any capacity), it is approximately equal to 20%. In other words, this bummer doesn't work 80% of the time. How to fill the gap in energy production? How to cook steel, for example, ride an electric train? There are production processes that cannot be interrupted. Batteries? Isn't this a doubling of capacity? Working, storing? What is the cost of such a monstrous structure? Is it not known that half of the cost of a Tesla car is a battery. But, is it possible to compare the cost of a 120 kilowatt battery with a megawatt one?

Distant descendants who found this artifact will scratch the turnip, where they poured grain for grinding into it ... smile

Have you already built this nonsense? Or did you just read this in a textbook yesterday? Do you know that on Earth there is only one place for such a system that does not harm (relatively) the environment. It's in Chile. There, a kilometer-high mountain plateau comes right up to the ocean. On the plateau there is a large depression, such as a lens. Pump in seawater and discharge it into the turbines when needed. Salinization of the soil, inevitably the future ahead does not harm anyone. There is no housing for hundreds of kilometers. The mountains. Inconvenience. And the lake is several cubic kilometers. Where are you going to implement this wikipedia? where are you from, anyway? From Mars? There are no such people on Earth.
