"Do not please Putin!": Strange statements stopped the speech of the Prime Minister of Poland in the European Parliament
During his speech to the European Parliament, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki made accusations against the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. The Polish politician accused the EU of blatantly blackmailing Warsaw. Let's remind, in the beginning of October the Constitutional Court of Poland recognized the national law as higher than the European one.
I cannot come to terms with the situation when some policy blackmail and threaten Poland. I reject the language of threats and blackmail
- said Moravetsky.
The Polish prime minister pointed to the slow but sure transformation of the European Union from a union of equal states into a centralized organization dominated by a group of the strongest member states.
Morawiecki's speech was cut short by the chairman of the European People's Party, Manfred Weber, who called the Pole's words playing into the hands of Putin.
With your speech today, you are sowing confusion and discord in the European Union. With this political step, you are weakening Europe. I ask you to stop this behavior! Don't make Putin happy!
Weber interrupted with his strange statement from the Prime Minister of Poland.
Let us remind you that the decision of the Constitutional Court of Poland on the supremacy of constitutional law caused an extremely negative reaction in Brussels. Many politicians have announced the possible withdrawal of Warsaw from the EU.
