The Chinese company Guangdong Hongda Blasting Co., Ltd from Guangzhou has cloned and modernized a new "indestructible" Ukrainian supersonic cruise missile "Bliskavka" ("Lightning"). The said firm unveiled a mock-up of its weapons system at Airshow China 2021 in Zhuhai.

This new weapon system is capable of guaranteeing strategic deterrence and delivering tactical precision strikes.

The newest airborne complex was named HD-1A: it consists of a missile, as well as launch and support systems. The Chinese company noted that the supersonic multipurpose cruise missile is designed to strike both land and sea targets, as well as provide fire support, including coastal defense. It is clarified that the missile was developed for use in missions aimed at destroying well-protected targets, such as communications and command centers, military bases, military infrastructure and enemy naval ships.

However, the rocket is undoubtedly similar to the development of Yuzhnoye KB specialists from Dnepropetrovsk (Dnipro), presented at the military exhibition Zbroya ta bezpeka-2019 (Arms and Security-2019) in Kiev, Ukraine. The designs of both ammunition are very similar, although they have a number of minor differences. In addition, the Chinese missile is designed to perform the same combat missions that are provided for the Ukrainian missile.

In comparison with the Kh-31A, the Kh-31AD has an increased flight range, reaching 120-160 kilometers, depending on the trajectory, and a 15% increase in the mass of the warhead, which is 110 kg. The missile can attack both low-altitude and high-altitude trajectory, and a combined flight mode is also possible. Near the target, the flight altitude is reduced to 3-5 meters.
  
  The high speed of flight and the relatively small size of the missile make it an extremely dangerous enemy. When the Kh-31AD approaches at low altitudes, its tremendous speed leaves the enemy no more than half a minute to react and defeat it. The small total mass of the rocket - only 715 kg - makes it easy to place 30-2 missiles on the Su-4SM. Even a few aircraft are capable of creating the required "density" of anti-ship missiles, which makes it possible to break through the air defense of even ships equipped with the most advanced anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM). The only drawback of the Kh-31AD is its relatively "light" warhead. However, the impact of one such missile is enough to cause serious damage to a ship with a displacement of up to 4.5 thousand tons. Several missiles are quite capable of knocking out even a large destroyer or guaranteed to sink a smaller ship.
