Causes and origins of teenage mass murders
Once upon a time, in perestroika times, smart people warned that you cannot take only the good from capitalism, and not take the bad, that if we build capitalism, then everything will be like in the West: unemployment, poverty, homelessness, and bankruptcy , and mortgages, and prostitution, and suicides, and shootings of businessmen, and terrorist attacks, and AIDS. But our people firmly believed that everyone in the West lives in chocolate, that one cannot listen to Soviet propaganda. "Don't read Soviet newspapers!"
And so we built Western-style capitalism, now we have everything like overseas: managers, PRs, stand-ups, security guards, boyfriends, shopping, bloggers, coaches and ... school shooters.
Think about it! Teenagers, these sexually mature kids who do not know and do not understand life, systematically go crazy and shoot schools and universities for the amusement of journalists savoring sensations! Here it is, the dark side of the wonderful new world that we have built with such selflessness on the ruins of our former culture and life.
On the fight against the consequences
Now there are hundreds of experts, psychologists, politicians and other talkers will again begin to convince us that there is no connection between the atmosphere in society, between the laws of economic and political development of Russia and the massacres. That these shooters are genetic defects from which no one is immune. Humble yourself, citizens!
Again, there will be talk in favor of corrupt officials that it is necessary to increase the number and quality of fences, video cameras, security officers, checkpoints, police officers and psychologists. The philistine logic will again play the first violin: “Protect me from all this”. Security firm owners are already rubbing their hands - the sales market promises unprecedented growth.
If you want to see unsurpassed spending on public safety, the highest fences, the smartest cameras, the most trained policemen and psychologists on every corner - look at America. All this has already been fully implemented there. But things are still there, they shoot several times a year.
Of course, idiots' access to firearms increases the number of victims - this is an absolute truth. But why even this warning of the consequences has been going on for us so indecisively and painfully for a long time? Everything is very simple. We live in a society where every rich man, every more or less prominent official lives in an atmosphere of fear for "over-earned". Everyone who drives a premium car, wears a watch and a suit for a million, has not only a reinforced door at home, but also a safe with a “hunting rifle”. And they are mentally preparing not to shoot the game, but to uninvited guests who are also not averse to taking advantage of the people's wealth. This layer of wealthy citizens does not allow, under the guise of protecting the rights of avid hunters, to prohibit the circulation of firearms. Although everyone understands that real hunters can be given a gun in the forest for the duration of the hunt.
On the cause of the massacres
However, even if you completely restrict adolescents' access to firearms, this will not save you from mass murder. Juvenile psychos will take on other, albeit less deadly, murder weapons. The question is not about the means of the crime, but about its causes. Why do young people go crazy and want to kill themselves as resonantly as possible, taking as many of their peers to the next world as possible?
First, what is the ideology of this adolescent psychopathism? All these arrows are radical misanthropes, they hated society and call people "biomass". And this is not an isolated phenomenon, not "genetic errors." Tens of thousands of schoolchildren and students have subscribed to groups savoring the shootings of schools and universities on social networks. And this is just one of the extreme manifestations of a huge culture of misanthropy, cynicism, sarcasm and hatred.
And it's not about the "Dulles plan", movies and computer games. Young people, with their characteristic maximalism, refract the prevailing morality through their hobbies and primitive forms of perception. And already some, the most mentally unstable young people, who have reached complete moral insignificance, grab weapons and bombs.
Is the attitude to peers as to "biological waste" something fundamentally different from the attitude of the powers that be to the people, as a consumable? We have a person turned into one of the expense lines of the business plan. Some live from paycheck to paycheck, that is, essentially for the sake of a paycheck, while others look at working people as cheap raw materials. And pensioners and disabled people, since they have no interest in earning money, do not cause anything but contempt among “successful people”. And children absorb it all like sponges.
Market the economy the law of competition is objectively inherent. Ideologically and mentally, this economic law is served by the ideology of individualism and selfishness. In turn, cynicism and misanthropy is bringing individualism and egoism to the psychic extreme: "I am against society, I am against everyone!", "I will kill myself and kill as many people as possible!" Those. teenagers go crazy amid the prevailing market morality. A certain role in the destabilization of young people, of course, is played by the media with their hysterics and thirst for sensations with or without, the cult of violence in films and games, and other "joys" of freedom and democracy.
No matter how the state and sane figures of culture, journalism and science try to counteract the destructive morality of competition and selfishness, they constantly fail within the framework of the whole society. Because behind them are only normative acts, words and abstract scientific truths, and behind the market morality is the daily practice of life. If the market teaches young people to gnaw each other's throats for money and a career, is it any wonder psychopaths appear?
Secondly, is it possible that in a society permeated with the pathos of creativity, great accomplishments, and the romance of socially useful labor, can young people systematically develop a desire to kill themselves, kill their peers, or make fun of these atrocities? As if life itself tells us, adults, that our sick society gives rise to sick adolescents.
We must pay tribute to the Soviet tempering of teachers and Soviet family education: in the field of socialization of youth, we held out for a long time. Western social ills and the decay of morality pervaded the longest precisely in the relationship between "fathers and children." But in the end, the atmosphere of reality and admiration for the West took their toll, and now we are catching up with the United States not in iron smelting, but in school shooting.
