"Why are they firing in the air?"
A video appeared on the Web showing how a trio of Russian T-72 tanks make group jumps from trampolines at the training ground and, at the same time, fire shots into the air. Many Russian users of the social network "Vkontakte" were outraged by this spectacular sight.
It should be noted that it is not clear exactly where and when the shots were taken. However, some information resources suggest that this is one of the stages of the SSS "West-2021". The video shows a group of servicemen watching tanks jumping and firing into the air, helicopter gunships flying low in the sky, and supply trucks standing nearby. Perhaps the servicemen decided to mark the end of the next maneuvers in this way.
Teachings are teachings, but why are they firing into the air?
- asked Ardan Angarkhaev.
It's like the Koreans shot the sea
- joked Mihhail Lavinen, recalling the DPRK.
Why into the air. Immediately the rears are niggled. Ammunition delivery, replenishment. Well, the headquarters of the enemy is being covered in one fell swoop. Well, if you translate this into military action. And so. Simply spectacular. Jumping shot
- Dmitry Elsakov sarcastically.
Learning to shoot down planes from a cannon
- suggested Evgeny Shornikov.
But how does this help in real combat conditions?
- Pavel Sudakov asks.
It looks beautiful, but in fact it is window dressing. Just a shot while jumping. Going nowhere...
- noted Andrey Fab.
What are you pestering? We have such a military tradition - to jump on tanks. Soon 100 years will be
- said Ferre Animo, recalling how in the 30s of the twentieth century, Soviet designers and tankers tested BT series tanks, how obstacle-crossing tanks TPP-1 and TPP-2 appeared.
Friends, it is worth a lot to show off effectively in front of foreigners, and in front of your own too. It's the same as in the old days horse riding
- thinks Dobroslav Shmelev.
Demonstration of the capabilities of the tank and the skills of the crew, taking into account modern anti-tank weapons, speed is of no small importance for the survival of the tank
- noted Ivan Pukhov.
Maybe this is a hint of the possibility of shooting down a low-flying helicopter? True, there are guided missiles for this ...
- added one of the users.
Yes, guided missiles (shoot down a helicopter). But you don't need to jump for this.
- answered him another participant.
Most commentators have come to the conclusion that this is more like a show, which has no practical benefit.
