Should "real" communists go to the State Duma elections?
The next elections to the State Duma will be held in Russia from 17 to 19 September. In this regard, many citizens who adhere to communist views, the question arises: is it worth going to the elections and voting against the ruling bourgeoisie, or simply boycotting them.
To begin with, the 2021 State Duma elections are very different from those that were held earlier. This time, the coronavirus pandemic played into the hands of the ruling party, thanks to which it turned out to "push through" the so-called remote voting. Thus, falsifying the result will now become even easier.
In addition, United Russia, which has greatly lost its rating, is doing everything possible to stay in power. The President even had to nominate Foreign and Defense Ministers Sergei Lavrov and Sergei Shoigu as candidates, who are quite popular among our fellow citizens.
It is worth noting that the methods of the liberal opposition, which "came up with" a way to displace the ruling party, are not particularly effective. The electronic system "Smart Voting", which supposedly indicates for which candidate and in which region to vote so that United Russia does not gain a majority, is ineffective. Moreover, it plays into the hands of the ruling elite, ensuring a high turnout in the elections.
Finally, one should not rely on the current Communist Party of the Russian Federation, which is also running for elections. Its top is the same bourgeoisie, hiding behind communist slogans, but having nothing to do with Marxism.
Based on the above, we can conclude that a true adherent of communism should not participate in the upcoming "democratic" elections, playing by the rules of the ruling elite. On the contrary, it is necessary to actively boycott such events and, whenever possible, expose the bourgeois government, awakening class consciousness.
