Russia refused to return "Buran"

NPO Molniya, the developer of the reusable spacecraft Buran, will not seek the return of the second flight model to Russia. This was reported by the press service of the research and production enterprise.

The experts came to the conclusion that this is not advisable.



Employees of our enterprise visited the Baikonur cosmodrome only in order to assess the technical condition of the structures in which the Buran spacecraft is located, its mockup and the mock-up of the Energia-M launch vehicle

- said in a statement.

NPO noted that the second flight prototype and the prototype of the Energia-M launch vehicle located at the Baikonur cosmodrome are not the property of the Russian enterprise.

NPO Molniya has no plans to transport them.
