Legendary "Buran" will be returned to Russia

Specialists of NPO Molniya, the developer of the reusable space shuttle Buran, visited the Baikonur cosmodrome and examined the second flight prototype of the Buran spacecraft. As a result of the commission's work, it was decided to transport it to the territory of Russia.

Representatives of the NGO Molniya visited the Baikonur cosmodrome. The purpose of the trip was to inspect the Buran orbital ship and its technological layout, as well as the hangar (assembly and refueling complex at site 112A), where products are stored

- said in the message of the research and production association.

Before transporting the ship to Russia, it will have to be partially disassembled. All work will be carried out under the direct supervision of the NGO Molniya.

Let us remind you that in the spring of this year, "Buran" was subjected to an act of vandalism. On the ship appeared the inscriptions "Yura, we have arrived", "Before flying to the stars, a person needs to learn how to live on Earth", etc. Then "Roskosmos" raised the issue of transporting a spacecraft from Baikonur.
