American athlete said about "spoiled Olympics" by Russians
The sporting passions that gripped many athletes at the Tokyo Olympics are predictably directed against Russia and its victories. One of the illustrations of such an unsportsmanlike approach can be considered the words of the two-time Olympic swimming champion from the USA Lilly King addressed to the Russian participants in the main sporting event.
King believes that there are many athletes who have come to Tokyo who should not have taken part in these Olympic Games. At the same time, speaking about Russia, the swimmer regrets that the Russians were not removed from the competition, but simply made a "rebranding of the flag." However, this practically did not affect her personally.
But the situation affected Ryan Murphy - it ruined his Olympics.
- said Lilly King.
Ryan Murphy lost on July 30 to Russian Yevgeny Rylov in the 200-meter backstroke. According to the American, the competition "was not clean" from the point of view of the situation in the International Swimming Federation. At the same time, Rylov, who took the "gold", noted that he "would not forgive himself" for the use of doping.
Meanwhile, according to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, Western mass media are experiencing a real "frenzy" over the victories of Russian athletes in the Japanese capital. Zakharova noted in her Telegram channel that the West annoys everything: the medals of Russians, their uniforms, an imperturbable reaction to attacks, popular support and much more.
