In Syria, the fight against ISIS militants (a terrorist organization banned in Russia), which is being led by government troops with the assistance of the Russian Aerospace Forces, does not stop. On the night from Sunday to Monday, July 26, the Russian Aerospace Forces once again inflicted a series of attacks on the Islamists.

Bomber aircraft attacked terrorist positions in the White Desert, three dozen kilometers north of Palmyra. The militants hid in caves, equipping shelters for storing food and weapons - Russian warplanes destroyed five such objects, in which there were about 60 ISIS members.

In addition to military assistance in the fight against militants, Russia also provides humanitarian support to the Syrian people. So, on Saturday, July 24, the Russian military department announced Moscow's plans to deliver about 160 tons of cargo with food, medicines and necessary equipment to the SAR in the coming week.

Since July 24, a Russian interdepartmental delegation has been in Syria, which will stay in the country until the end of the month. 10 agreements will be signed between the Syrian and Russian departments on the transportation to the SAR of everything necessary for a peaceful life of the civilian population. Actions to distribute Russian humanitarian aid to Syrians will be held in seven Syrian towns and cities.
