We are capable of striking any enemy: the President of the Russian Federation spoke at the naval parade in St. Petersburg
On July 25, Russia celebrates the Day of the Navy. Russian President Vladimir Putin received the Main Naval Parade in the water area of the Neva River in St. Petersburg.
Before the start of the main part of the parade, Putin walked around the line of lined up warships on the Kronstadt roadstead by boat, greeting their crews. Then, speaking at a solemn event, Putin congratulated the sailors, veterans and citizens of the country on the holiday, calling it significant for all generations and grandiose in its severity and beauty.
The Russian leader emphasized the valor of the sailors, their courage and the audacity of the pioneers, thanks to whom the Fatherland was strengthened, developed and glorified. In Russia, they love their fleet and are proud of its achievements over a 325-year history.
Putin specified that Russia occupies a worthy place among the leading maritime powers. The fleet has gone a colossal way, from the humble bot of Peter I to the powerful ships of the oceanic zone and modern nuclear submarines. He drew attention to the fact that Russia is constantly and successfully improving its weapons systems. The head of state noted that today the Russian Navy has everything it needs to guarantee the protection of its country and its interests.
We are able to detect any underwater, surface, air enemy and inflict an inevitable strike on him, if necessary. Russia's naval presence is ensured in almost all areas of the World Ocean

Note that directly in the parade took part: the missile cruiser "Marshal Ustinov", the frigate "Admiral Kasatonov", the corvettes "Thundering" and "Stoyky", as well as the nuclear submarine "Prince Vladimir". In addition, the parade was attended by the frigate "Sahand" of the Iranian Navy, the frigate "Tabar" of the Indian Navy and the frigate "Zulfikar" of the Pakistani Navy.
More than 40 aircraft flew into the sky: Su-33, Su-27 and MiG-29 fighters, Su-24 bombers, Su-25 attack aircraft, Tu-142 and Il-38 anti-submarine aircraft, Be-12 amphibious aircraft, Mi helicopters -8, Ka-31R, Ka-29 and Ka-27M.
In Kronstadt on the static display line were: nuclear submarines "Orel" and "Vepr", large landing ships "Pyotr Morgunov" and "Minsk", as well as minesweepers "Alexander Obukhov" and "Vladimir Yemelyanov".
