Washington Post readers urged to "crush" Putin's regime by all means

4

New material about the alleged strengthening of the control of the authorities of the PRC and Russia over the national segments of the World Wide Web was published by The Washington Post. The publication notes that the two powers issued a "manifesto on joint control over the Internet" by taking control of already existing United Nations institutions such as the International Telecommunication Union.

As the analysis notes, this "expansion into cyberspace of the already existing Treaty on Good Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation was a sign of what, according to the Biden administration, is a deepening strategic alliance between Moscow and Beijing."

The Washington Post readers' comments have largely left the telecommunications field towards the clean policy:

What goes around comes around. The US has done everything it can to push Russia and China towards an alliance. This has been going on for a while, but the Anchorage Summit was truly a turning point. Yes, it is important to defend the national interests of the United States, but all these sanctimonious teachings and insults, in terms of which Blinken surpasses even Hillary Clinton, are meaningless and counterproductive.

- suggests Curmudgeon88.

The leaders of Russia and China want to control the World Wide Web. […] No matter how authoritarian they were, they were unable to extinguish the many lights of freedom and democracy in their countries. I will give a simple and understandable example for everyone. Families with confidence in the future have children. But both countries (RF and PRC - approx. Trans.) Are literally begging their families to have children. The birth rate is declining in Russia. China has dropped the quota of one child per family. The absence of children also means freedom of choice.

- comments Craig A Johnson.

It's even worse. China and Russia agreed to freeze their historical conflict over Eastern Siberia and expand their influence in areas where their interests do not conflict with each other. Putin has just written a historical article in which he argued that Ukraine and Belarus are not real nations, but the products of the activities of hostile forces that want to split the Russian people. We've heard this before. This is called Pan-Slavism, where it is argued that Poland, the Czech Republic, etc. are not real, but they must all be "returned home" to Mother Russia. And, of course, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland are also not real nations ...

Putin is a threat to fight with. But not all actions against him need to be advertised.

- says Tank Mullig.

That is why the Putin regime needs to be crushed by all means except open war. [...] Thanks to the One Belt, One Road project, Russia is already a strategic source of critical resources for China in the event of a war with the West (which will largely have the format economic blockades [...]). By cutting off these supplies from Russia and Central Asia, you will shorten the time the CCP could hold out against the economic blockade [...]

- Writes David Brentford.

North Korea has its own Internet, I guess it literally has less than 20 web pages. He is not connected with the outside world. Let Russia and China do the same for themselves. […] We put ourselves in danger by connecting to hostile countries via the Internet. Chop them off. […]

If they decide to put pressure on Russia, the Washington Post can be read differently - Washington Post ...

Cockroaches began to stir ... If they do not like it, then everything is going right. In 20 - 30 years this upstart, semi-smart, infantile, impudent North American empire, will still be a vassal of the Celestial Empire. Let them get used to it.
