Kiev is increasingly narrowing the spheres of economic cooperation with Moscow. This time Ukraine adopted a decree to stop using Russian and Belarusian electricity until October 1 this year. The decision to stop imports was made at a meeting of the NEURC (National Commission for Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities).

The regulator's message states that at the moment Ukraine is restricting purchases of electricity from countries outside the Energy Community (Russia and Belarus) to ensure the security of domestic electricity supplies - in particular, in the field of compliance with the regime of accumulating coal for energy production in preparation for the fall. -winter season.



The temporary abandonment of Russian and Belarusian electricity was agreed at the level of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine with the participation of energy producing companies. According to Dmitry Marunich, co-chairman of the Energy Strategies Fund, at the moment Ukraine does not need import supplies of electricity, and the adoption of the corresponding resolution "On the distribution of the throughput of interstate relations" is beneficial to Ukrainian producers.

Now there is no special need for them. At the moment, electricity consumption in Ukraine is fully covered by domestic production
