"Seasoned Biden": Who is hiding under the guise of an old liberal
Human memory is an extremely fickle thing. Not even half a year has passed since the election of the new president of the United States of America, and many have already forgotten about their enthusiastic mood, which accompanied the struggle of two seemingly ridiculous old people - the populist Trump, who, despite all his loud statements, turned out to be a rather indecisive and soft-spoken politician , and "Sleepy Joe" - a smart gentleman in old age, who managed to be noted for periodic "hibernation" right during the performances.
Many attributed what was happening to the likely softening of the external policy The United States - and what, at that moment, a number of prominent experts quite reasonably believed that after the elections America would plunge into internal affairs, and the world would be able to take a break - but no matter how ...
However, an optimistic attitude was inappropriate here from the very beginning - few people in our country understand that the president in the United States is a person-brand. Unfortunately, this gave its negative result - many are still in the dark, naively believing that the United States decided to finish itself off by putting an old man in charge, who witnessed the Cuban missile crisis with his own eyes; all this, however, is a matter of ignorance - dangerous and destructive.
While covering the presidential elections in the United States, the media did not mention anything about the details of the biography of Joe Biden Jr. - perhaps at that moment no one was interested, and we were broadcast an image of an essentially unremarkable American politician - a member of the Democratic Party, a senator, a vice -president, chairman of a number of committees ... but we did not see the image in this. Didn't notice that notorious brand ...
And who are you, Mr. Biden?
Perhaps, it would be worth starting this story with the fact that the main character of today's story not only found and survived, but was also at the forefront of the military and political confrontation between America and the Soviet Union, which unfolded after the end of World War II. This is a man whose childhood fell on the beginning of the Korean War, his youth fell on the Cuban missile crisis, during which the world froze in horror, and his youth fell on a humiliating defeat in the Vietnam War.
This is not a lively businessman Trump and not a “young growth” like Barack Obama - no, this is a politician who has lived most of his adult life side by side with the “red threat”. He matured, absorbing anti-communist propaganda and waiting in a daze for Soviet ballistic missiles to hit American soil.
You're already starting to guess something, aren't you?
In general, a suspiciously soft image of Joe Biden Jr. was formed in our information space - I would dare to say that it does not correspond to the real one. His entire career is presented to our eyes as one endless struggle for peace, friendship and justice: here is Senator Biden discussing the problems of disarmament, here he is opposed to the Gulf War and opposed to George W. Bush with his voluntarist campaign to withdraw from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty. ..
Of course, all the events listed took place - but this is by no means the most accurate description of the advancement of a politician who, in almost every controversial situation, chose the most severe version of its resolution.
Unfortunately, most of Biden's activities during the Cold War are hidden under a shroud of obscurity - it is difficult to say and analyze in which fateful events of that era the new US president was noted. One can only guess that he really was not an ordinary politician: he became one of the youngest senators in the history of the country (at the age of 29!), In 1974 the editors of Time magazine prophetically included Biden among the “200 persons of the future who will make history ”, and in 1979 and 1988 the hero of our article was invited to the Soviet Union to meet with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR Alexei Kosygin and Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Gromyko. But we already know much more about the further development of the biography of Joe Biden Jr.
A few days ago, in an interview on ABC News, Biden made a very remarkable statement - he called his colleague Vladimir Putin a "killer", adding that the Russian president would soon "pay for it." Many were surprised by such statements - but in vain, because once such words were made to the former national leader of Serbia Slobodan Milosevic, and they really had tragic consequences ...
He (Milosevic) is a son of a bitch, but he knows his stuff. And he will not stop until the West stops him ...
- Joe Biden Jr. A quote from the memoir Keeping Promises (quite a remarkable title in light of recent events, isn't it?).
We all know about the bombing of Yugoslavia (Operation Deliberate Force against the Bosnian Serb troops in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1995 and Operation Allied Force against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1999), but few people know that one of the main initiators NATO's intervention was precisely "Sleepy Joe" - it was he who passed the so-called "Kosovo McCain-Biden Resolution", which provided a legal basis for Bill Clinton's actions.
Serbs are illiterate degenerates, child killers, butchers and rapists
- Joe Biden Jr during an interview for CNN; 1993th year.
Reading these words, don't you have a natural feeling - the feeling that we were all deceived? Agree, these statements do not at all fit the image of a soft, wise and forgetful "grandpa" -liberal, with which all the world's media tried to mislead us. However, Biden was not able to maintain this illusion for long, allowing himself, to put it mildly, non-diplomatic statements about Vladimir Putin; in the slang of the Americans themselves, he is by no means a "chicken", but the most real "hawk" ...
For now we will leave the Balkans - we will return to them later - and fast forward to our time. To be precise, we are interested in the summer of 2020 - it was then that Joe Biden Jr. formed a team ... on foreign policy. Yes, that's right - in some miraculous way, then the Democratic candidate already knew about his victory and began collecting the future administration (however, it would be more correct to say that the American elite knew about this, whose interests are promoted by the described character). The group of experts on international affairs alone numbered 49; in total, twenty such working groups were formed, divided by areas of activity: weapons, defense industry, intelligence, national security, the Middle East, Europe, China ... The task of this event was formulated quite succinctly - an assessment of the current US foreign policy and the preparation of relevant proposals to change it. The team was headed by XNUMX people - some of them have already ended up in the State Department and the Pentagon (for example, Special Assistant to the Minister of Defense Eli Ratner, the former head of the Center for a New American Security and a fierce opponent of the "red threat" from the PRC, or the former head of the Central Command of the Armed Forces U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin).
Especially interesting for us is the new head of the CIA, William Burns (took office on March 19, 2021 - on the day this material was written). Everyone has long known the American tradition of appointing “specialized” specialists in areas of interest to the United States as directors of the Central Intelligence Agency - and it is likely that this person will be responsible for all forthcoming operations aimed at deteriorating the image, defense capability and political stability of the Russian Federation. This choice was made for a reason: Burns speaks excellent Russian; previously acted in the Middle East and Balkan directions, worked as an ambassador in Moscow (and, I think, is well aware of the alignment of forces and the structure of the Russian political and economic elite).
What conclusions can be drawn even from such a brief material? What will happen if you add up the hardened belligerent apologist for the "Russian threat", the statement that "Putin will pay his price" and the head of the CIA specializing in Russia and Eastern Europe?
It seems that under the guise of a peaceful liberal old man, obsessed with the rights of African Americans, the reincarnation of Ronald Reagan is hiding.
Omnipresent Biden
Immediately after the transfer of power to Joe Biden, the outer United States of America took on an extremely tough turn. It is enough to look at the events of recent months to be sure that the period of relative calm has come to an end:
- The Indo-Pacific Command of the United States is considering the revival and formation of the First Operational Fleet;
- The United States has stepped up its activities in Armenia and wants to achieve the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from Karabakh;
- Tightened sanctions against Huawei; Biden's anti-Chinese policy generally came as a complete surprise to the expert community, who expected a "thaw" in relations with the PRC as opposed to Trump's old policy;
- Increased pressure on Turkey and India; it is based on an old conflict over the purchase of Russian weapons;
- Introduces a new package of sanctions against the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline;
- The expected "detente" of the situation in Syria has taken the form of aggressive counteraction: the United States, using the League of Arab States, refuses to recognize both Bashar al-Assad and his wife Asma Assad as a legitimate presidential candidate; moreover, on February 26, 2021, the United States launched a missile attack on the territory of the SAR;
- Finally, the aggressive rhetoric of Joe Biden Jr. directed against the President of the Russian Federation; such actions should be regarded as at least a warning, if not an open threat.
America did not weaken in its pressure and did not retreat - by no means, knowing full well that the initiative was slipping out of hand, "Uncle Sam" intensified its offensive on the geopolitical front - and it remains only to guess how far the United States is ready to go in its rivalry for the title of the first superpower in the world ...
However, in order to understand the immediate prospects, we again need to return to the past.
If you believe that in two operations in Yugoslavia Biden's career as a "warmonger" was over, then you are extremely mistaken: "Sleepy Joe" is credited with the invasion of Iraq (he was one of the few Democratic senators who supported the "final" decision question with Saddam Hussein - which is doubly curious, he advocated the operation both before and after it, and changed his point of view only after moving to the post of vice president in the Barack Obama administration. Biden's opinion changed dramatically - he began to declare that from the very beginning he opposed the war, and later he actively lobbied for the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq), the promotion of an "asymmetric military conflict" in Afghanistan; he took an active part in the financing of anti-government groups in Syria (which is probably the reason for his current desire to "crush" the regime of Bashar al-Assad) and the allocation of military aid to Ukraine. Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych was afraid to use military force against the raging Maidan.
The last point is of particular interest to us, given the threat posed to Russia by further expansion of NATO to the East; even if the once allied state does not join the ranks of the Alliance (with all the ensuing consequences for our defense), but takes the position of the so-called. "Participant of the Accelerated Dialogue", the Russian Federation will have a point of tension for decades along the entire western border of the country; as you know, the creation of such "potential threats" is a long-standing technique in the strategic arsenal of the United States, which during the Cold War years became very adept at wearing down and exhausting its geopolitical opponents.
The new US president is extremely dangerous precisely because of his extensive experience of work in Eastern Europe and the post-Soviet countries - as well as the enormous influence that he received in the course of his work. Biden has direct access to the highest political echelons of Ukraine; there is evidence that his family received large sums of money from Russia for the so-called. “Business consulting” is a wake-up call that “Sleepy Joe” also has “his own people” on the territory of the Russian Federation, who are by no means deprived of power and finances. There is nothing to say about close relations with the President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci - in the young Balkan state (and in the Balkans in general) Biden is revered like a living saint - it was through his efforts that billions of dollars allocated for humanitarian aid came to the region. We should also separately touch upon the active lobbying of the interests of the Armenian diaspora - and this fact can lead to catastrophic consequences, given the current situation in Transcaucasia.
Joe Biden Jr. and his team are by no means a random choice of the American elite. They put at the head of the country a "brand" that most vividly underlines current US policies and aspirations, and began to put them into practice. The bleak consequences of these fateful events are the destiny of our near future, but we will talk about them in the next article on the hypothetical strategy of the United States of America.
