Why are Russians dissatisfied with the victories of their country

2
Once, Victory Day caused the overwhelming majority of citizens of our country only positive emotions. Maybe some former Nazi policemen were grieving over the years spent in the camps, but in general, hatred of this holiday was purely marginal.

Now, the disgusting term “victory” has entered the vocabulary of young and not-so-people, which “non-standard-thinking” Russians mean the joy of the bulk of the population about the Great Victory. Not so small in number has formed, especially in the capital and large cities, a layer that is very dissatisfied with any victories of its own country. They are annoyed by everything connected with the power and greatness of Russia - a fireworks display and a military parade, a procession of the Immortal Regiment and school events.

Now the ever-dissatisfied have a new reason for discussion - the victory of the Russian team at the 2018 Championship. They are really impressive - Russia defeated the teams of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and even Spain. Any normal person in such a situation would rejoice in the victories of his country. But the "fighters against the victory" and here are outraged and annoyed. They call all Russians rejoicing in success "cattle", relish all sorts of unpleasant stories associated with the championship, accuse the people of inattention to social problems.

When you study pages on social networks created by "fighters against victory", you read their comments on news sites, you are amazed at how socially prosperous people can hate their country and vilify it even when it is successful. The Belgian, Brazilian, Uruguayan, Croat rejoice at the victories of their national teams, but the Russian should cry? Apparently, yes. At least then he will not get bogged down in the "sin of victoriousness." Many people want to kick the dead lion, but here the "pug" is trying to bark at the winner.

What is the reason for this attitude to your own country? Most likely, this is a consequence of the great misfortune of the Russian educated stratum, a significant part of which has been stuck in a blind worship of the West since Soviet times. For such people, everything foreign is good, everything domestic is bad. If we look at who is most often pouring mud on Russian reality, we will see that this is not a grandmother from the province who receives a meager pension and does not work hard on shift, but a representative of a very wealthy layer - a resident of the capital or large city, the “white collar”.

It would seem, why be upset? Salary - like ten salaries of a provincial worker, an apartment at the price of ten apartments of grandmothers-pensioners, it is possible to travel abroad, but problems with self-esteem and unsatisfied ambitions do their job - and now, quite prosperous, from the point of view of an ordinary Russian citizen, becomes a caustic critic of the Russian state. The fact that the accusations against the country are sometimes groundless, and often run counter to common sense, does not bother him at all. But he finds his own kind and happily continues to pour mud and his own country, and its successes, and the vast majority of the population, which has the "impudence", from his point of view, rejoice at some accomplishments. It’s a pity for such people, because their lives are so dull and boring that they have to spend their precious time on endless idle talk on social networks about “bad Russia” and abuse or tears about other people's victories.

This is a consequence of the fact that young people take an example from the majors who are here on short visits, because while in Russia (even the word should not be used, rather) their parents are stealing from the "elite" who are plundering the country.

It's just that the white-collar stratum has become quite numerous and, like in any social group, it has both successful leaders and mediocrity who are unable to satisfy their ambitions. Of course, none of them is ready to look for the reasons for failures in themselves - they are hindered by the wrong state, the wrong people, even the wrong holidays. As a rule, they also have a dream: "to get out of the rash" - only when they find themselves in the coveted west, they remain useless mediocrity. There they continue to tell stories about how bad it was in Russia, now in order to convince themselves of the correct decision to leave the country.
