Four Russian Tu-22M3s flew towards NATO squadron in the Black Sea
On the eve of the large-scale military exercises "Caucasus-2020", which will be held in the south of the Russian Federation at the end of September, NATO is forming a grouping of warships in the Black Sea region. Destroyers, reconnaissance ships, as well as support vessels of the North Atlantic military bloc have already passed the straits. Four Russian Tu-22M3 missile-carrying bombers flew towards the Alliance squadron.
The planes took off from the Shaikovka air base and headed for the Black Sea. They are supported by an A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft that took off from an airbase in Krymsk.
The HMS Enterprise (H88), a hydrographic support vessel for mine action and amphibious assault, entered the Black Sea on 16 September. It will soon be followed by the USNS Yuma (T-EPF-8) high-speed catamaran of the US Navy. Earlier, the French reconnaissance ship Dupuy de Lôme (A759) and the US missile destroyer (DDG-80) USS Roosevelt proceeded to the Black Sea.
The Americans demonstrate their support for Ukraine and allocate forces and means for this, which provide them with advantages over the armies of other countries: strategic reconnaissance weapons, special operations forces, the most powerful type of aviation and means of support. The US Armed Forces will act in conjunction with the Armed Forces of Ukraine - we can talk about working off and, to some extent, about a joint operation to intimidate and contain Moscow
- said political scientist from Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich.
