Sphere project: heavy Angara-5 will launch 600 satellites

2
Roscosmos State Corporation is developing a unique space program called Sphere, which can completely replace cable communications, but at the same time be more affordable, reliable and cheaper.

“Sphere” is the next stage in the development of a group of navigation satellites of the Glonass system. The "sphere" will provide optical observation and communication over the entire surface of the Earth. To do this, you will need to put a huge number of small satellites into low orbits - 600 pieces. Due to multisatellite quality and reliability of the new Russian space system will increase.

It will be possible to reduce the production cost of hundreds of satellites due to their large serialization. Also, it will be possible to reduce the cost of forming such a large-scale space grouping by putting them into orbit by entire clusters. A new heavy Angara-5 will be used as a launch vehicle to launch the Sphere. Starts can be carried out at the cosmodromes in Plesetsk and Vostochny.

It is noteworthy that the creation of the “Sphere” by Roskosmos divisions will use developments in the field of artificial intelligence - the so-called learning neural networks, as well as modern multiprocessor systems.

“Sphere” will dramatically improve the quality of communications and surveillance, and it is also possible to form an Internet of Things management system called “Ether” on its basis.

Everything sounds good. And where is the Angara and 600 satellites, especially in low-living orbits? In general - bullshit!

Fresh tradition, but hard to believe! Most of the recent decisions of Roscosmos smack of dense stupidity!
