Tragedy in the sky: Russian An-148 crashed near Moscow

The Saratov Airlines' aircraft disappeared from the radar almost immediately after takeoff. Later it became known that the plane crashed near the village of Argunovo, Ramensky district, Moscow region. From the words of eyewitnesses, we can conclude that the car fell apart in the air.

According to preliminary data from the Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor’s Office, the flight lasted only four minutes: at 14:24 Moscow time, the An-148 took off and disappeared from the radar at 14:28.

In connection with the tragedy, Russian President Vladimir Putin postponed his working trip to Sochi. He expressed condolences to the relatives of the victims of the plane crash. The head of state also ordered the creation of a commission to investigate this event. A criminal case has been instituted on the fact of the incident.

At present, condolences are coming from different parts of the world to Russia. Even from where recently Russia has been treated very hostilely: from the USA, from the UN, from Lithuania, from the IOC. Even the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Pavel Klimkin, on his Twitter page brought condolences to the "families and friends of those killed in the crash near Moscow."

Unfortunately, even this position of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry did not prevent the numerous citizens of this country, who were sharply opposed to Russia, from filling the Internet with overt gloating over the crash of the An-148. Despite the fact that the crashed plane was civilian, they do not hide their hatred of the Russians. The same people behaved in a similar way after the crash of an airplane flying to Syria in Sochi in December 2016 and even earlier, when the Airbus A321 airliner crashed from Egypt to Moscow. Since the Euromaidan, such a reaction to nationwide tragedies has become a sad tendency.

There is a man in this terrible story who was saved by a miracle. It turned out to be a resident of the city of Sochi Maxim Kolomeytsev. While in Moscow, he intended to fly to Orsk to celebrate his birthday with his family living in this city. However, his trip was frustrated, and he handed over a ticket for the fateful flight, which saved his life.

In the Orenburg region, the day of February 12 was declared mourning.
