In Russia, preparing to stop air and rail
Agency Source RIA News in the Russian government announced the preparation of measures to limit the movement of citizens around the country. This initiative is being considered against the background of the spread of coronavirus infection in the regions of the Russian Federation.
A source said that the Cabinet of Ministers is evaluating the possibility of stopping both aviation and railway communications throughout Russia. Other mobility opportunities for citizens are planned to be significantly limited.
Earlier, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin ordered on March 30 to completely close the borders of the Russian Federation. Travel through automobile, rail and other checkpoints will be limited. Exceptions will be made only by diplomats, truckers and crews of ships and locomotive crews.
Recall, on March 28, restrictive measures in connection with the coronavirus entered into force on the territory of the country. It is forbidden to work in cafes and restaurants, shopping and entertainment centers, sports centers, cinemas, etc. Sanatoriums, hotels, children's camps and rest houses are closed. Any public events are also prohibited.
