The idea of making the world wide Internet truly global began to arise more and more often in the bowels of various companies. The initiator of conversations about the full coverage of the Earth with the Internet can be considered a famous marketer from science and the founder of a number of different companies, Elon Mask, who first proposed the concept of a worldwide and free network.

So the Russian company "Zond-Holding" announced its intention to deploy an extensive satellite network in Earth orbit that will allow you to "conduct" the Internet anywhere in the world. The system, called “Skif”, is designed primarily to provide the Internet to remote and sparsely populated areas of the Arctic, where access to the Internet by usual means is at least costly, and as a maximum it is extremely difficult, but then nothing prevents you from using the same network for worldwide support .

According to the head of the company, Victor Donianets, the first six launched satellites will cover the entire globe above 45 degrees north latitude and below 45 degrees south latitude, providing uninterrupted round-the-clock Internet access. In the equatorial zone, there will be four-hour breaks in the work, but the rest 20 hours a day, the Internet will work fine, but the company also has a solution to this problem:

When we launch the next six devices, we will completely cover the entire globe without a break.

Production of equipment for satellites has already begun, the timing of the launch of the system into operation is still unknown.
