A laptop with multiple displays? Already a reality!

The development of multi-display devices by large companies has been around for some time already among the general public. One after another, patent documents are published for a device with multiple displays, whether it is an additional screen Smartphone or display keyboard Apple So Lenovo decided to keep up.

Recently, the World Intellectual Property Organization announced a patent by Lenovo for one interesting development of the same plan. This time it’s not about an alternative keyboard, but about an additional display for a laptop. The patent proposes several development options. For example, additional screens can be fixed to the left and to the right of the main one on hinged mounts. This design will allow you to deploy additional displays and turn the laptop into a touchscreen tablet.

Also, the device will include cameras on the inner and outer sides of the lid. The design itself can also be used to create folding smartphones and so-called phablets (a cross between a tablet and a smartphone). As is the case with all previous similar patents from other companies, nothing is known about the beginning of the development of specific devices according to these drawings. However, when several large manufacturers immediately patent such similar developments, the development vector becomes obvious. Will these developments be developed, or will they serve as the basis for something else we have yet to see.
