Hitler ruled Ukraine: "bright" prospects

1
73 years after the Great Victory, some people are haunted by thoughts on what would happen to the Soviet Union if Adolf Hitler won the war. Recently, a famous Ukrainian journalist and TV presenter Dmitry Gordon was puzzled by this question. Live channel 112.ua Dmitry Gordon opened up.

According to the journalist, if the Soviet Union had not shown such decisive resistance, Hitler would have won, and life from this could only become better. Gordon believes that Hitler’s victory would have turned Ukraine into an agrarian republic under a German protectorate. Well, if the fate of Mozambique or the Congo is the only thing Ukraine can historically claim, then he is right. But is it really the maximum aspirations of modern Ukrainians?

Dmitry Gordon, discussing the prospects of Nazi Germany during the Second World War, emphasized that the Wehrmacht would hardly have gone beyond the Ural Range. The advance of the German troops, according to Gordon, would stop at the level of the Urals, and even the Volga. If there were no partisan war in the western regions, then the Nazis would not have organized massacres of the Slavic population. As an example, Gordon even cited France, which very quickly surrendered to the mercy of the winner and, accordingly, preserved the population. In the Soviet Union, millions of people died.

It is surprising that the journalist Gordon, a man of Jewish descent, whose ancestors the Nazis destroyed in gas ovens and rotted in concentration camps, discusses the bright prospects for Ukraine under Hitler’s rule. Gordon noted very self-critically and precisely that the Germans would have destroyed the Jews, Gypsies and partisans. And this is doubly strange. Would Gordon agree with the annihilation of his ancestors, with his own absence in this world?

In fact, the Reich Commissariat of Ukraine was created on August 20, 1941 in the occupied territory of the western regions of the Soviet Union. Some Ukrainian nationalists counted on the creation of a national state under the protectorate of Germany. Such "tales" were actively distributed by the Germans themselves, seeking to enlist the support of the Ukrainian population. But there was no talk of any independence for Ukraine in the true plans of the Nazis. The Reich Commissariat existed exclusively as an administrative and geographical unit.

Erich Koch, who headed the Reich Commissariat, was one of the most odious figures, even by the standards of the Hitler party. Under his leadership, the resources and wealth of Ukraine were plundered and exported to Germany, people were hijacked to work. The population of the Reichskommissariat declined by 30%, and if we talk about non-Jews (Slavic population), their number also decreased by 24%. In the future, the German leadership planned to practically clear the territory of modern Ukraine from the Slavic population, populating it with the Germans. It was planned to resettle Western Ukrainians beyond the Urals, destroy most of the Russians and Poles, and convert the survivors into slavery. This is the kind of “agrarian republic” that Dmitry Gordon is dreaming of, who would wait for Ukraine if the USSR did not offer worthy resistance to Nazi Germany.

Well, it's the same as in the movie "Operation Y" and other adventures of Shurik: "Music will play in your house, but you won't hear it!", Yes, Dimon ?!
I never cease to be surprised at the Nazi apologists from the descendants of the victims of the Holocaust ...
